6 month contractual job

Hi all, I would like to ask some opinion about 6 months contractual job.

Scenario as below(not me):

-A young man who works in a well known mnc more than a year.
-consider to leave because the company at the brink of collapse due to mismanagement and corruption.
-interview and get an offer from another mnc but it's a 6 month contractual job.
-Reason being there is quota for permanent post and HR is limited to hire more but manpower is still needed.
-However, the interview PICs(HR & prospect boss) promise that if perform well, there are chances to turn into permanent once quota available.
-Also, the advertise job company is actually different than the actual (meaning that advertise Co. A but later informed the job is for Co. B, because both company is related)

Please advise if you are the young man.
