Accept the offer or not

Hi guys,

I am a civil engineering fresh graduate.

Recently, I got an offer to work with Schlumberger as a wireline field engineer (O&G) .

I am really confused right now whether to accept the offer or not since if I do so I will be like saying “good bye” to civil engineering as my working scope at Schlumberger is totally different than what I have learned in civil engineering. Besides, in future my career will be just confined to O&G industry not to my actual background. It is like I have wasted my 4 years degree time in different major.

So what do you think guys?????

Shall I accept the offer and start building my career in O&G industry or NOT?????
