need help.. i'm using dell studio 1555 and having problems.

before my laptop having problems, it happens to auto shutdown few times.
i have no doubt about it cause i think it maybe shut down automatically to prevent overheat.

one day in a sudden, the backlight of the screen and the fan had lost function.
it still boot into OS without light from the screen.

then i send it to a repairman since my warranty expired.
after checked, the repairman replace my chipset.
[WTA]is it able to boot OS if chipset spoiled? and also how much it cost for a chipset for studio 1555?
i don't really know what is chipset for. is it a component in a motherboard?

after get back the laptop, it seems very hard to start my laptop when i press on button.
it only on 1 out of more than 10 times of trying.
when it success boot into windows, the battery bar showed a not logic value (eg 942583%)
sometimes it will auto shutdown in sudden.
later on i send it back to the repairman.

at start the repairman said my battery spoiled, but as i know my battery is in a very good condition when i send it to him.
after checked, he said that the problem is on the connector between the adapter with the laptop. (idk what is it called)
[WTA]is it expensive to replace the connector?

its already about 4 months since i send my laptop for repair.
until now the repairman still did not return my laptop in well condition yet.
have no idea now what i should do now..
