Card reader access thru usb2.0

Hi,

I transfer files from CF card using card reader to usb2.0 in PC vs. usb2.0 in notebook.

How come transfer speed thru usb2.0 to pc is only about 3mb/s vs. thru usb2.0 to notebook is 13mb/s ??
Both my pc mobo and notebook is usb2.0, how come to pc is slower?

My motherboard supports PCIE 1.0 x16. This is my mobo http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=N73V-S

Can this graphic card http://www.powercolor.com/Global/products_...9#Specification with PCIE 2.1 work well in my mobo ?

If a pcie2.1 graphic card use on mobo which support pcie1.0, the graphic card will be a bit slow is it?

Hi sifus,

I using Windows 7 32bit, when i install 2X 2Gb DDR2 800 ram, the system only recognise 3GB ram.

1. Which means it can only use max 3GB ram performance?
2. I use my computer for photo and video editting. Does these needs graphic card? By installing a graphic card around RM150 range, will it improve performance a lot while using photo and video editing software?

I do not play game.

Help pls..
