Hi, my name is Jia Jian, Tin, and I am a graduate school student at Alliant International University, Fresno California. I am currently working on my thesis for my Master’s degree and require volunteers to participate in my research project.

My research aims to identify the effect of abuse excuse on a potential jury verdict on rape cases. In my research, abuse excuse refers to the use of traumatic childhood experience as an excuse to reduce guilt.

The link below will provide access to the online questionnaire that should take no more than 20 minutes of your time. You will be requested to consent to voluntary participation and enter some basic demographic information for the screening process. Once that is completed, you will read a page long vignette about a rape case. Then you will be requested to decide the likelihood that you would give a guilty verdict to the defendant.

This research is only open to citizens of United States of America and Malaysia.

LAN Party

OK. I am from University of Nottingham, Gaming Society. We are planning to have a large scale LAN Party in our university probably early next year (February).

I just need to know who would be interested to join?

It will be open to all and you will have to pay to attend around RM10-20.

It should be held over the weekend (Fri to Sun) including gaming tournaments like DotA, CS and any other games that we get our hands on. (Separate registration for Tournaments)

There should be 150-200 Computers available. Still in discussion with our sponsors and all those.

But I need to know around how many people will be interested to join this event.

The university is located in Semenyih. You can get to the university frm KTM to Kajang and a taxi would bring you to the uni for RM25 (Fixed rate). I am currently trying to get the uni to allow participants to use the uni bus to get here but that is still in discussion.
