It’s the time of the year again for Christmas!
MSI will be having a design contest to celebrate this gifting season by giving out gifts to the most creative minds.
A total of RM4,999 of prizes are to be won by the design contest winners, including an all-new MSI Modern 14 which is the most fitting gift for an art creator!

It is a simple contest with simple rules!
Interested participants can create a 2D digital work together with MSI logo and MSI Lucky provided, to create a very own Christmas design. After that, post the design to Facebook & Instagram, and set the post as public.

The Creator 17 with Mini LED Display: True Trendsetter of the HDR Standard

For your information, HDR stands for high dynamic range and it significantly expands the range of two important factors—contrast ratio and color accuracy.
The Creator 17 Mini LED display is so far the only laptop panel which can reach the high dynamic range (HDR) 1000 standard and achieve white luminance of 1000 nits.
It’s at least twice as bright than its counterparts, regular LED or OLED screens.

The essential health check service will be available for the masses of MSI owners and will cover the GT-series, GS-series, GE-series, GP-series, Alpha-series, all MSI Workstation laptops, and all the MSI Prestige Series laptops.

The owners who are interested are required to reserve a timeslot for this service or they will not be served.
We will be providing free services including fan and air vents cleaning, exterior cleaning and also, thermal compound repasting.
Most importantly, an over-all system diagnosis would be provided too.
Repair work which is needed after diagnosis will be conducted according to MSI Malaysia’s warranty policy upon agreement from the laptop owner.

To avoid unforeseen accidents, owners are urged to back-up their data as always before bringing their laptops for check, including licensed MSI repair partners.

MSI Malaysia is proud to announce the launch of our inaugural design competition, MSI DESIGN BLEND 2015.

The MSI Design Competition is the start of an annual engagement with the creative community in Malaysia. Our intention is to reach out to students and professionals and start a conversation whereby design challenges are used to stir up creative collaborations and showcase the endless possibilities in design.

Our hope is that the MSI design competition will serve as a talking space for students and professional to come together, share ideas and present their talent and ingenuity to the whole country.

For MSI DESIGN BLEND 2015 the creative community can choose from 2 Categories, Character Design and Product Design. Each carries their own unique challenges and we want to attract as wide a range of designers and artist as possible. We are hoping to achieve this by opening up the submission criteria and allow more creative expression.

Category 1 - Dragon Army Recruit: Character Design
If you had to design a soldier to join the MSI Dragon Army, how would this character look like?

In this challenge the artist must choose a MSI Notebook to serve as the inspiration for their character. Choose either the GT80 Titan SLI, GS60 Ghost or the GE62 Apache and interpret their physical design and gaming features into your character. You may use the logos or names of MSI Gaming Features like SuperRAID, KillerLAN, SteelSeries Engine, Cooler Boost 3 etc and don't forget to include the MSI Shield logo into your design.

Our judges are looking for the best creative representation of our MSI notebook in a character and will award points for originality, creative interpretation, quality of execution and overall connection with the MSI Gaming brand.

Category 2 - Geometry vs Nature: Product Design
3D printers are at the forefront of an industrial revolution in production and we want to explore that with a simple household item. The lampshade.

Based on the theme, 'Geometry vs Nature', product designers must come up with a lampshade that represents both sides or one side only. We're excited to see how this plays out and how the designers will choose to represent the theme in their lampshade design.
Submissions must include a rendering of their final design as the winning designs must be able to be produced by a 3D printer. Our chosen technology partner for this is Vagler which is a Swedish company producing 3D printers with precision engineering. The lampshade can consist of one solid 3D printed piece or made up of several pieces combined together. However, the challenge is that no other material can be included in the design and all parts of the lampshade must be produced by the Vagler 3D printer.
