Claim on item value lose in rental Van caught fire

Hi,

I recently rent a van for trip inclusive driver. While on the way, the driver stop on the highway roadside cause the smell of fuel too strong.

All of sudden the van caught fire and everyone rush out. Managed to save everything except for some newly bought items in a bag with value around RM 1.5k. The van 100% burnt.

I try to ask the van company for a compensation for my belonging but they refuse.

Am I entitled for a compensation? What should be the correct procedure for this claim if it's valid.

Buying 2nd hand bike direct owner

I'm looking to buy a secondhand bike from a direct owner.

Can help me advise how the process will be like.

The bike is still under AEON loan so the seller said he need to make full payment before he can change the ownership.

I have the cash, so should I pay full amount first, and wait the seller change name later?

When should I get the bike? Upon paying full or after change ownership?

and he said his 3gs problem was only that it iOS cant be upgraded. Only stuck on iOS 3. This is because the 3gs is UK spec.
