Hair loss

Recently with my upcoming university examinations, tests as well as assignments, I am facing a little of stress along with a little lack of sleep (5 to 6 hours per day but on weekends, it is the regular 8 to 10). Everytime I bath or comb my hair, there are really a lot of strands of hair that came down and it is starting to worry me a lot. I checked online and it says that if it is due to your genes, you can't stop but can slow it but none of my parents are experiencing hair loss. I tried to look for solutions but places like Yun Nam or other hair care center are quoted as unreliable as there are many dissatisfied customers' comments about them. Now, I am wondering these.

Does this has anything to do with the food I am consuming? Do I really have to take extra sleep, isn't 6 hours per day sufficient? I am not facing huge stress but they say stress can be a contributor to the hair loss, but it's just a little stress. Is there like a cure for this, or should I seek doctor immediately? Some claims that hair specialist will do better though but again as stated above, i THINK it is unreliable.

Any comments on this?
