"Error 53" when updating to iOS 9.1

Hello Apple fans,

When updating my iPhone 6 to iOS 9.1, I received an "Error 53" which apparently means that my Touch ID sensor is faulty (according to some brief Googling). Now I cant boot or even restore my phone and it seems to be stuck in recovery mode.

I went to an iPhone repair shop in Subang and they told me the same thing. The problem is caused by faulty Touch ID sensor and they couldnt do anything.

My warranty just expired last month. Anyone know how to solve this problem without spending loads of money? Thanks in advance.

Hey guys.

The hard disk on my 2010 Mac Mini died last night. Now I cannot boot into my machine or even restore OS X.

I have some questions:

1) Is it possible to replace the dead hard disk with a new one (preferably SSD)?

2) Which repair shop/service center do you recommend?

3) How much that would cost me (approximately)?

Mac Mini wifi problem

Hello guys. I need to ask your opinions about a problem with my Mac Mini.

Background: I used to connect to Unifi (via wifi) without any problem. But now I'm moving to a house that has no Unifi coverage. So I had to use Streamyx 1mbps with Innacomm w3400v wireless modem.

The issue: The internet connection is very terrible sometimes, especially in the morning. The weird thing is when I use Windows laptops or my iPhone everything works fine. Even weirder, after I restart my Mac Mini, the connection goes back to normal.

I'm not sure what seems to be the problem here. What do you think?

Hello all, I'm somewhat of a noob when it comes to Mac. So I need suggestion on something.

I have experience in Android app development, but now I'm thinking of moving on to iOS platform. The problem is I don't have a Mac. I'm thinking of buying a 3-year-old Macbook White 2.4Ghz (2008 model) from a friend for my coding needs. Do you think it's a wise choice?

My budget is limited. I can only spare < RM2K and he's selling it for RM1.8K. Do you think the Macbook will last long if I buy it now?

Paypal withdrawal delay

Hello all,

On Wednesday (13 April) I withdraw USD800 from Paypal to my CIMB account. But as of today (Saturday 16 April) my CIMB balance still hasn't shown any increase. The weird thing is, on Paypal it shows that the transaction status is "completed".

I've withdrawn money to my account before, but it only took 2 days at the most. Now it's been 3 days, but still nothing. Should I wait till Monday or call them now? Who should I call? Paypal or CIMB?

Suggestions?
