Crash when playing game & cannot boot

Just bought a Dell laptop. Inspiron 15 7000 7559. 4k touch display/i7-6700HQ/8GB Ram/1TB HDD/GTX960M.

Ok just enjoying my usual Dota 2, then suddenly the laptop froze, and some weird red layer appear on both laptop screen and my Dell 22” monitor.

Got a photo and video of the situation. Might be useful later.

Then tried to power off the laptop. Suddenly cannot boot up, doesn’t enter the BIOS. Even the screen not light up. Only the keyboard and the light indicator work.

Managed to found in dell forum, they say the light blinking 2 times for ambient light and 4 times for white light indicates memory/Ram failure.

Memory? Ram problem? How is this possible?

[UPDATED] The laptop is working now but..

I managed to grab a 4GB DDR3L Ram from my previous laptop and insert into this laptop and it worked!
But this ram only get the laptop boot only when i put the ram on the 2nd slot which is above the 1st slot.

*Note that i remove the original 8GB ram and put the 4GB solely

Then I swap this 4GB ram to the 1st slot (This slot which is the original slot for the 8GB ram).....and its not working..

* Note that I also place the 8GB ram to the 2nd slot and its not working also..

Thus, my conclusion is the 1st slot for the ram is broken and the 8GB ram is broken.

Anyone have thoughts for this? Hmmm
