{Fixed!}Bootmgr missing! pls help me to fix it!

last nigh i was delete some fol/file. morning when turn on laptop, " bootmgr missing,Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart " appeared on the screen.

i found 2 solution -

- Get your Vista installation DVD and pop it into your drive.
- Then restart your computer.
- Press a key when you are prompted.
- Select a language, a time, a currency, and a keyboard or another input method, and then click Next
- Click Repair your computer
- Click the operating system that you want to repair, and then click Next
- In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click Command Prompt
- Type bootrec /rebuildbcd and then press ENTER

• If Bootrec runs successfully, it will present you with the installation path of a Windows directory. To add the entry to the BCD store, type Yes . A confirmation message appears that indicates the entry was added successfully.

• If Bootrec cannot locate any missing Windows installations, you must remove the BCD store, and then you must re-create it. To do this, type the following commands in the order shown below: (Remember to press ENTER after each command)

bcdedit /export C:\BCD_Backup

ren c:\boot\bcd bcd.old

bootrec /rebuildbcd

- Restart the computer.

* At the X:\Sources prompt, type bcdedit /export C:\BCD_Backup and press <Enter>

* Type c: and press <Enter>.

* At the C:\ prompt, type cd boot and press <Enter>.

* At the C:\Boot prompt, type attrib bcd -s -h -r and press <Enter>.

* At the C:\Boot prompt, type ren c:\boot\bcd bcd.old and press <Enter>.

* At the C:\Boot prompt, type bootrec /rebuildbcd and press <Enter>.

* press Y
Add installation to boot list? Yes(Y)/No(N)/All(A):

* type exit and press <Enter>. Click the Restart button

this 2 solution able to fix it? pls help me!!

both need insert vista dvd?

i saw before in somewhere computer store,price is around RM38... do you think is expensive???

my ex hdd cannot detect..help me..

my ex hdd cannot detect, and i got important data ,i cannot lost it!

so if i buy a new hdd, it is possible to ask them transfer my data to new 1?

they got such of service???!!!
