Private U vs Public U

Hi all,im a SPM 2010 leaver and recently i've been offered a place in UMP(universiti malaysia pahang) for diploma in mechanical engineering(which is exactly the course i wanted). But a few weeks prior to receiving the offer,i've already registered at UTAR.Now im in a dilemma as to which university to go to.Until now,i've heard lots of opinions about public and private U.Some say that public U is good coz it's cheaper but some say that public U sucks because majority of the students are malays and they do not communicate in english. So,back to the topic, between UMP and UTAR,which one do u think is better,in terms of lecturers, facilities, english standard, etc.I seriously need help here........

Accredited engineering programmes and BEM.

Hi,I would like to ask a few question here.I'm planning to take a 3+0 bachelor's degree(3 years) in mechanical engineering in SEGi which is not accredited by BEM.If so,will I still be able to register as an engineer with BEM when I graduate later? What are the consequences of not registering with BEM as an engineer? Will it affect future employment? Is accreditation from BEM important only if I want to get employed in the government sector? How about employment in private companies if the particular engineering course is not accredited by BEM?Does accreditation from BEM matter a lot?

Thanks in advance.
