Dual boot Windows8/Linux

After installed Windows 8, anyone tried to boot another OS from CD, USB?

For some reasons I need to boot Ubuntu from USB sometime, but I heard somewhere that Windows 8 will block other OS from booting on a Windows 8 machine?

Gesture for laptop touchpad

Like most of the laptop on the market, mine doesn't have touchscreen, so touchpad gesture is very important for me in using Windows 8.

Few days ago I just tried to use the new windows 8 laptop at Sony center, it seems like it is not possible to swipe from left then quickly swipe back to left to get the running program list, by using the touchpad.

Of course I can do it by moving the mouse cursor to the top left then move down, but I hope to do this with gesture. Can anyone of you do that with touchpad gesture?

COD:MW3-Multiplayer free download on Steam?

Hey everyone, I'm new to Steam.
Yesterday I installed steam and I saw this COD:MW3-Multiplayer in my Steam library.
I can click on the download and start downloading the 15GB file.
But COD isn't a free game, why can I download it without paying?

Facebook login error

Not sure why this is happening, every time i log in my facebook account, after I typed my e-mail and password then I hit enter, it show me this.

Problem on harddrive

Guys,

There are some kind of weird and unusual noise coming out from the harddrive of my notebook. The noise is not obvious but noticeable if I'm sitting in front of the notebook.

PS: I used a software "HD Tune Pro" to check for the health of the harddrive and I got this result. (see attachment)
It gave me warning that my drive has damaged sectors.

Is this a software issue or hardware issue? Can I claim for a free repair(or replacement) if my notebook is still under warranty?

Please advice. And do tell me if there is any software to further investigate that whether my harddisk really got problem or not.

[WTA] Fast switching Power Plan?

Is there any software on Windows 7 that can provide us some fast key (shortcut) to quickly change the power plan?

Sometimes I want to switch from <Battery saving> to <High Performance> quickly while in full screen gaming, so is there any alternative/faster way to switch? (like ctrl+shift+X to switch)

Unsolid Keyboard

Hi guys, anyone here using ASUS N53? I loved it since the beginning because of the special design (especially the speaker) and the big screen.

However, I've found the the keyboard isn't solid, when I was typing/pressing the middle part of the keyboard, it shrinks down a little, giving me an unsolid feel.

Is this only my problem or everyone is experiencing it?
