Offer letter?

Hi,

I had my interview last Thursday and they got back to me on Friday at around 6pm saying I got the job. They asked me to start on Wednesday. I said okay, and she asked me to collect offer letter and medical letter on Monday or Tuesday morning. I have to be honest I seemed a little hesitant because the pay was lower as I expected and tried to negotiate the salary, but nonetheless I said I will still accept it.

Over the weekend, I realized its very rushing to start on Wednesday cos I have other personal matters I need to attend to before I start work. So Monday morning I called her up and told her I wanted to start work on Friday. She said 'Let me talk to Mr. X first.' Mr X is my future boss. She called me back in an hour and asked if I received another job offer or waiting for one. I said no, it's just personal. Then she said ok and offered me more money, I said oh okay thanks. Then she said to take the medical letter first Tuesday morning.

So today I went and took the medical letter and did my medical exam. However, I don't have the offer letter yet. Now the question is:

Do you think they'll backtrack on the offer cos it seems I wasn't really interested? Will they use my medical results to reject me, cos they think I'm playing hardball? (However, I think my results should be ok).

What do you think? I'm actually quite worried.

Hi,

I just received a call from CIMB, they decided to hire me. But they said 'subject to director's approval first', then go for medical checkup..
Was wondering what are the odds I don't get the job because the director reject me? Almost zero right? Am just wondering, because I am starting at another bank tmrw and I don't want to come in for a week, then I resign because I just got the confirmation from CIMB. So better I don't show up at all right?

And also how long does it usually take for CIMB to process these approvals? Do u know?

ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT temperature

Hi,

I just installed new motherboard with this graphic card (ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT). Today I installed Sims3, yet after 15 minutes, everything shuts down.

I monitered CPU temp, it was normal.

So I thought it'd be GPU temp. It's 75C during idle.

Is this normal - if no, what should I do?
