Excessive sweatingduring workout & badminton

Hi

I tend to sweat a lot during workouts at the gym which didnt bother me much since I use a towel to wipe off the equipments after I finished.

Ive started playing badminton recently and a lot of the people I play with commented on my excessive sweating.. After one game, it looks like someone threw a bucket of water on me. This happens even when I wear 100 percent cotton tshirts..

Can anyone recommend sports shirts that can help me?

Thanks in advance.

Upstairs bathroom floor leaking - 2 storey house

Hi all,

Our 2-storey house is about 10 years old and the upstairs middle bathroom has recently started leaking through the floor into the ceiling below. I can probably rule out broken or cracked water pipes since the leakage only happens after someone uses the shower and stops after a while.

So, I'm considering my options as follows:

1. Remove the old grout between the bathroom floor tiles and apply new grouting. (easiest & cheapest)

2. Lay new cement (waterproofed?) on top of the old tiles and put new tiles.

3. Remove the existing tiles and cement, lay new cement (waterproofed) and put new tiles. (most tedious, time consuming and expensive)

I welcome any suggestions by anyone with knowledge and experience, thank you.

As per topic, I need a recommendation for a modem for my home streamyx where I can control what times the internet can be used by my kids.

For example, morning - 9-10am, afternoon - 3-4pm etc, the rest of the time no internet.

Can anyone suggest any models which can do this? Preferably one where I can buy locally or even better from garage sales here.

Thank you.

SHoulder Impingement

I've been going to the gym regularly last few months doing a 4 day split.

Last few weeks I've had this "sensation" on my right shoulder. It wasn't pain exactly, more like slight discomfort of which I didn't give much thought to.

I did a back workout 2 days ago (with lots of overhead pulling movements) and was feeling fine yesterday. Last night has trouble sleeping and woke up this morning with this soreness around my front delt on my right shoulder. If I raise my right hand up and then pull it down, I can feel the soreness increasing when my hand is going down especially when my elbow is level with my shoulder and going down.

Is that Shoulder Impingement? If so, appreciate any advice from anyone who's had the same problem. I rather not go to see a private doctor yet as I don't really trust them to give impartial advice.

I then switch off the phone and switch to the new SD card. I then turn on the phone and copied the contents back into the new SD card.

The problem now is some of the apps are greyed out in my phone and cannot be started.

Any suggestions?

Gym Wear for men

I've started going to some local gyms last month or so and its been a pretty good experience, most using machines and some weights.

I used to wear synthetic t-shirts at first (Castrol Magnatec free gift white t-shirts) but I didn't really like it as I was not sweating much and it feels rather hot. I switched to cotton t-shirts and it feels much better as the sweat gets absorbed and cools me down.

Synthetic Pants. I have ripped at least 2 shorts and 1 track bottom while doing squats, they tend to rip apart at the same spot - the crotch. I don't try out clothes before I buy them, yeah typical guy shopping - in and out from the shop like a ninja - so my clothes don't fit well usually.

Are cotton pants better? I'm worried they might absorb too much sweat and starts to sag down..

Importing from Iran

Hi,

I'm working for a trading company and we import chemicals from overseas to supply to local companies and we normally purchase the chemicals in drums per container FCL with terms CIF Port Klang or Labuan Port and payment by LC At Sight in USD.

We have an interesting buying lead from an Iranian trading company where the chemicals is produced by one of their national companies (similar to Petronas) but the problem is that none of our local Malaysia bank will issue LC to any companies from Iran due to trade embargoes and such. We don't want to pay cash upfront as well as we've been cheated that way previously.

Any ideas?
Hit a Std 3 school girl with my car

Ok, so I picked my daughter at her school yesterday at 1pm and was on my way home. The road was behind the school where there's a small gate which some kids use to exit the school. Theres usually some cars parked along both sides of the road at this time.

As I was passing this road, a std 3 school girl ran out from behind a parked car straight into my moving car. I hit her slightly though the impact was quite hard as we we were both moving at the time. She sort of slumped down on the right beside my car after I braked hard.

Her right leg was hurt. Apparently, she saw her mother arriving in her car across the road which is why she ran without looking left or right.

I offered to take her to the local private hosp and her mother agreed and she rode in my car.

Afterwards, her dad arrived at hospital and then i left as I has to take my own daughter home. The father sms me that she had 2 broken bones near her right ankle and will operated on today.

QUESTION:

Should I have reported the accident to the police? (Its past 24 hours already)

EDIT:

There was a bunch of ppl after the accident, mostly parents just like me and they helped as well. Its not a hit n run.

I talked to the mum n dad at the hospital and they seems nice enough. They didn't accuse me of anything. If anything, they sort of acknowledge that it was the girl's fault for running across the road.

The father works in maybank and he had insurance coverage for the girl as well so the hosp expenses would be taken care off. If they didn't have insurance, I would probably offered to pay

I've decided to make a police report now. bbia

I did thought about offering some cash to the parents but wouldn't that be the same as admitting fault?

Update:

I went to make police report as suggested by many ppl here. Just a straightforward description of what happened and I did mention the child dashing across because she saw her mother.

Afterwards, I went to the hosp to visit her, parents n grandparents was there as well. The grandma told my wife not to worry about the accident as its one of those things, she knows her grandchild well i think.

I spoke to the father privately and told him about the police report, I mentioned that he can claim insurance against my car if he wanted. I don'y mind losing the ncb as my car is reg under my company. I then gave him rm500.00 just to cover his expense and trouble.

The kid now has a metal rod in her right leg and she'll need another op after one year time to take the rod out.

Lesson learned : Drive real slow when you see school kids beside the road. I could have killed a child yesterday.

Ok, so I booted my desktop pc at home today and got some weird messages. After I tried to reinstall from the windows xp cd I saw the message that there is no hard disk on my pc.

So, hard disk failure. I have made backup on a portable hd so I can write off that bad hd on my desktop.

I have a spare hd which I bought for my ps3 which I want to replace it with.

How do I do that?
