I'm looking to find some budget server hardware. casing, boards all those. do you guys know which shop i can go to?

most shops in lowyat dont carry much server hardware. the only one i saw was czone with very limited choices.

Please advice.

buying phones overseas

my friends have been telling me that if i buy electronic stuff especially phones at china or taiwan, it would be much cheaper that buying it locally.

what problems would there be if i do this? i am aware of the unlocking stuff, but other than that its perfectly legal, correct?

and also are there zitron and ap sets overseas as well? if yes how do i differentiate them? especially at china where there are lots of fakes.

HI guys, i don't know if i'm posting at the right section.

my problem is that the battery for a Vaio VGN-C15GP/W isnt being detected and doesnt work.

when i went to sony centre, they say it would cost RM600+ for a new battery..

is that the correct price? seems so so expensive for just a battery!?

and is there other alternatives? is batteries fixable?

please advice..

sometimes when i torrent, and i cannot surf websites because the internet connection is too saturated (this part i understand)

but normally when i close the torrent client, connection resumes when the peers are disconnected, however sometimes my connection just drops and i cannot access and http sites, BUT msn can still connect and there is ping to any DNS server and HTTP servers.

this affects both mozilla firefox 2 and internet explorer 7. any explainations? the problem remains until i restart my pc.

and recently my friend asked me about the same problem but she doesnt not use torrents.

why does this happen and is there a permanent fix?

Recommendation, maintain or kill dual channel?

Hi guys,

i have a tx1000 HP tablet, with 1GB (512mb x2) DDR2 SODIMM 667mhz ram.

i wanna up it to 2GB (at least, no 4gb, cant bother with 64bit)

so should i take a 2gb stick and sacrifice one 512 = 2.5GB without dual channel? how big performance impact does dual channel gives?

or should i take two 1GB sticks and sacrifice both 512 sticks and keep the dual channel config?

btw, are there any shops that take trade in ram?
