Need Career Advice

Hey guys! I need your help!

I've graduated like 7 months ago and got a job in a company, which I'm currently placed under probation. (Chinaman one unfortunately. PM me if you wanna know.)

But I'm not really doing what I needed to know as a Chemical Engineering graduate and I'm afraid it will jeopardize my future plan as a Chemical Engineer. (Maybe in the future I will do something about it but I doubt so)

The basic pay was also ridiculously lower compared to some of my engineering batch mates who are having now. I've surfed around this forum and I saw that some of the forumers say that the high basic salary from previous company will give you an edge in negotiations.

So I was thinking whether should I leave or stay on and get experience for at least a few months?

Bought items from eBay, no receive parcel.

Hi guys,

Last month around the early March I have bought an item on eBay and got a Paypal receipt from the seller.

When the seller mentioned that the item will be sent, but he did not give me the tracking code from Pos Malaysia.

Addressee 'Moved'
After I emailed the seller regarding this matter, he gave me the tracking code.
But somehow my parcel went back from Pos Malaysia Kelana Jaya to Singapore (supposedly the seller's home country, initially didn't state where the parcel was sent from).
The reason was that the addressee was 'moved' and I have specifically wrote my address clearly to the seller.

So I made a report to Pos Malaysia and contact the seller about it.

1 of the staff from Pos Malaysia told me that the item has been shipped back to the seller due to the address being incorrect.
And then the staff asked whether should I get the parcel back from Singapore back to Malaysia?
I told him I will call him back because I'm not certain whether I would be charged for extra shipping cost. Eventually I did not contact them back due to uncertainties and no-reply from seller.

Seller no-reply
Then I emailed the seller, he told me to give him my address again so that he could resend the package.

18 days later (from April 1st), I emailed him again for the tracking code from Pos Malaysia, I haven't received any reply from him.
So I'm kinda afraid that he's giving up my delivery just like that after all these.

I have asked for a refund but he did not reply still.

What can I do as of this moment?

My fault?

Hi guys, recently my girlfriend and I (who have been together for a year) had an argument and it turned out quite bad until I also throw my tantrum for the first time in Whatsapp. (Not the 14th floor kinda bad)

Basically,
- She told me she just got her half-month salary and want to bring me out for dinner.
- I rejected because I told her I need to ask my parents' permission (something may happen, you won't know right?)
- Plus I don't want her to waste her salary because she needs to support her family living in a normal terrace house.
- Then she emo during work hours.
- After work, she told me she had a chat with 3 of her friends about us, she told them she is happy with me but now she's not.

Reason?
- Last weekend, I have work in an event.
- Last day, I have dinner and yumcha with colleagues because last day of event, went out after work till 11pm though.
- She said I never bring her out this late.
- Because I told her my parents need me back home some of the times.
- I also told her that I won't see my colleagues anytime soon because they are from other states and they are not driving.

- She said every date I brought her, I never bring her back home this late.
- And everytime she wants to go out, I have to ask my parents 1st. But for friends, I don't need to.
- But I still have to ask anyway. She don't believe me.

So is it my fault I never bring her out late? Because I feel that I've been neglecting her needs.

Need your advice.

Monash University or University of Nottingham?

Hi guys,
I'm a bit confused about where to go for Engineering course. I've just finished my Pre-University called SAM (South Australian Matriculation) in Taylor's College.

The 2 universities mentioned in the title, in my opinion, are the best choices for me due to various external factors such as transport, accommodations and pricing. But I don't have any seniors whom I can refer to.

So I want to ask, are the standards of both universities different?

[In my knowledge]
1. I know that University of Nottingham provide UK degree whereas Monash University provide Australian degree.
2. I also know that in Nottingham, it takes 4 years to reach Masters whereas in Monash, it takes 6 years to reach.

(I do need some corrections if there is any. )

[From what I heard and saw]
1. Monash University standard is higher than in University of Nottingham.
2. Monash University provide more difficult coursework compared to University of Nottingham.
3. Degree in UK (Nottingham) gets better professional recognition than degree in Australia. (from a forum post Honours vs Non-Honours )
4. In The Star newspaper published on 30/1/2013, D-SETARA results were released and it shows that Monash University has a better tier than University of Nottingham in Engineering. (Source from NST)

#4 made me worry the most because it's graded by the MQA representatives.

So any comparisons and comments about that?
