Dear Audiophile Sifu,
I had my Onkyo receiver for the past 5 years and yesterday my receiver aren't functioning. The day before yesterday, i switch off my TV, Astro, PC & AVR just like normal. The next day which is yesterday night, i try ON it but it is without any signal.

I had try below methods
1. Swap HDMI and connect back to AVR Output - same no signal
2. Try connect to different TV input port - no signal
3. Tested different player e.g Astro, PC, PS4 - same no signal
4. Try ON OFF the AVR - same no signal
5. Direct connect to TV - yes got signal

Any idea what's happening on my AVR ? TIA

My beginner setup

TV : Normal 40" Sony LED TV
AV Receiver : Onkyo TX-SR508
Home Theatre Set : Jamo S 606 HCS 6 Home Cinema Systems
Front Speaker: Jamo
Center Speaker: Jamo
Subwoofer: Jamo SUB 250 has built-in 250 watt amplifier
Surround: Jamo
Cable : Monster cable for both speaker & Subwoofer

I feel that my setup is not right, i use the MIC to auto setup. I feel the sound not much power ? The subwoofer is heavy, those firing gun sound is soft. Voice talking also soft. I have no idea how to set those frequency, i just press on auto setup. Any sifu here can guide ? The home theatre is on my living room and the surround i just place it on my tv console.

Do I Need Sound Card ?

Hi,
All this while im using my pc for watching movies, gaming & music. My pc is connected to my amp and my amp output to my tv. I'm using both HDMI for PC & TV. Do i need a proper pc sound card for better audio quality e.g 5.1? I can hear losses when playing movies or music from my speakers.

Electric shock from headphones ?

Dear Audiophiles,
Just to check with you, recently i bought an ear set and works great. Until recently i found that whenever im charging my portable devices e.g phones, gaming device and at the same time using earphones, i can feel the electric shock on my ears. Is it normal or ? There is no problem if it is without charging the portable devices.
