Hdd is not detected

A few days ago, my antivirus keys been blacklisted. so no antivirus protection for 3 days. On the third day,
my slave hdd is not detected after 4 /10 mins turning on pc. when i check in cmos, it's sometimes there , sometimes not. Now that my antivirus is no longer blacklisted, my hdd is doing fine however. i did some smart test and would like some pro to take a look ..

vga error?

i recently bought myself a new system, amd x2 and biostar 6100 am2. i assemble it myself. using onboard vga , recently , it gaves me zebra lines error. first it happens when i was playing cs. 2nd it happen when i was zooming a jpg file. i thought it was winxp driver problem, so i had my pc reformated. and yet just now it happens again
while i was surfing a web.

an example of the error is attached. made myself using paint as i can't capture any ss. whenever this error happen, it would hang my pc. the whole screen shows zebra lines. i had to resolve thru reset button. the zebra lines usually would take 2 main color of the color on my screen at that time...

pro's out there, do tell me is this mobo error? or is it just winxp?

note* after the first 2 errors, i reformat. installed the sims 2 , played all night long. played cs 1.6. no errors.. and then i left my pc online for whole night.
off it for 2 hours. turn on, surf for 10mins and error occurs. when i reset my pc back, it shows cpu temp 54c

Firewall used: as far as i concerne, winxp n kaspersky had turn off. dunno bout modem tho.

Problem details
First occurence of problem: last week, thursday morning
Problem frequency: every single minutes
Problem description:

ok, it's a long story and my english is not that good. hope u guys can understand and help me with my problem.

a week ago, i'm using kasda KDE modem. around afternoon, i turn on my modem and there's no line at all. DSL blinking non stop. i couldn't connect. i made a report, 5 mins after that.

after 5 days , i finally got my line back. but with terrible blinking / disconnection problem. i couldn't surf, i couldn't play online games , i couldn't dwld anything.
after 3 days of suffering, the tech guy came at 1pm.
*before he came, from 12pm to 1pm, my line keep blinking non stop.

so the tech guy came and he said he has been monitoring my line
for the past 2 hours with streamyx hq. he check with them and they told him,
there's no disconnection. no problem from where they are monitoring.
and he says that it could be my computer that having problems.

excuse me but how can a computer cause DSL line blinking ? as far as i know,
DSL is a status that shown - modem to phone line . so if it's blinking, it's either
ur phone line is noisy, or streamyx modem sux , or something wrong with their cable or , my phone socket .

he was about to pack up so i turn on voyage century online client, open up counter strike client and start downloading 56mb files. 5 mins after that , while he was talking about dslam and stuff, my modem blinks ! he was shock. and so he changed my modem.

so my new modem is billion. this modem is much more worst.
if before, i could at least get into any CS server, play for 5/10 mins before
my modem would starts to blink. now it shows all server not responding. worst, after all the menu in CS client load up, when cs trying
to refresh and check all the servers in link, modem hang and blink!
every single time i turn on CS , this will happen.

not only that, if i left my pc , no surfing , not doing anything. it will also blinks!!
i started to think that , maybe this new modem setting is a bit different than the one i had bfore. could be some port is closed ? i'm not sure.

however, i need you guys who's pro out there to help me in this problem.
i don't know how to tell the tech guy regarding this stuff. but im pretty sure,
my pc is not the caused. well if it does, then tell me where is it that's wrong.

here's a few common things that streamyx ask that i already did :

1. connect directly to socket without splitter.
2. change phone wire

first of all, thanks for reading and sorry if i post in a wrong section.

this is my problem;
i have 1 phone line with 2 phone socket in my house.
1 in the master bedroom, the other in pc room.
one day, streamyxblinking non stop an eventually doesn't have a line at all.
so we call the streamyx guy and he said,
i can no longer use the socket in master bedroom as i need to buy
something call jack port or something so that both socket can be used
without effecting streamyx line.

the question is , i forgot what's the name of the item
that i'm supposed to buy. i hope u guys can tell me what's the thing.

and btw, it's not splitter.
