Importation of Elk Antler Dog Chew

Dear all,

I'm exploring to import Elk / Deer Antler from Canada and US to Malaysia to sell as Dog Chew which is pretty common in western countries. I am aware of stringent requirement from Malaysia Royal Customs Department in importing animal parts and I have sent inquiries to them. They advised that no tax is imposed and direct me to seek advise and guidance from MAQIS. However, MAQIS are not replying

Wondering if there are any experts here that are familiar with such procedure. I'm actually trying to find if any permit or clearance are required and where should i apply from. Attached the product sample for info.

[attachmentid=10739328]

Online Travel Company Startup

Recently I decided to venture in tourism industry by providing tour services. In short, I plan for them a mysterious and relaxing trip in malaysia and they pay me money. At first I plan to register Limited Liability Partnership with SSM until i come across a post that says anyone who wish to start a travel agency will need a SDN BHD, register with MOTAC with upfront capital and registered premises.

Is that correct? My startup company will only operate through online and operate in small scale, do i still need to go through that process? I dont mind to do it if the revenue grows, but do I really need the license to operate? What if i never apply and start business? Can anyone experience in this field please advise?

Pet Gift Box

Dog subscription box services are a growing trend and may be the solution to having enough toys, treats and health items on hand for your pup. We all reward our dogs with new toys and treats, but we don’t want to give them just any dog product. The best, high-quality, all-natural products aren’t always available at the local grocery store and finding the time to purchase them from a specialty shop can be a hassle. Having dog subscription boxes delivered to your home saves you time and makes providing fun, healthy treats for your pup easy!

Would you subscribe it for your pet ?

How to proceed with my business idea

Dear all,

I am a civil engineer currently working in Singapore. I am 28 this year and I have a "thing" for dog. I have long understand the importance to be financial free and I would like to start a business while I still young. I do not wish to discuss on why I need to venture into business when there are still many options such as stock, property and etc. Although this post is mainly on business, I have invested stocks and property as well.

As advised by experts, do the things you like and you will enjoy it. Currently in Malaysia, I hardly see any dog park where you can allow your dogs to run freely with other dogs in an secured area like in United State. Why I understand the difficulties as we are living in Muslim country, but my ultimate goal is to have an secured area where dog lovers can hang out during weekend with small little fee. If anyone been to Botanic Garden in Singapore, you will understand what I am talking about.

In order to start this idea without any financial support is kinda difficult as you need money for a piece of land, building a hut and planting trees. Even that, I am not giving up and would like to start small and grow step by step until I have the financial ability.

Now I start blogging by writing post to attract readers and on the same time learn more about dog grooming, breed and etc. With increasing readership and subscription, then my next step would be getting sponsorship, advertisement and will also start selling some products (i.e dog food, accessories) through the blog. My concept is similar to Goodplace.my a weekly subscription for property.

This is my idea of starting my business. Just wondering if any reader here have any other idea where I can achieve my dream of having a dog park?

Thanks.

Gov funding for start-up business

Hi, I am 27 years old. I have a dream of owning a moderate resort at a tourist vacation destination at the seaside. If I were to start-up using my own fund, I think I need at least RM500k which i think need 10 years to save that amount. I am wondering is there any government program that review's a person business plan and provide funding for business so that I can start early?

Thank you for all the input.

Advise to gold investment

Dear all,

Recently I am thinking to park some of my money into gold investment. Few years back I learn about gold but i did not take any action as that time i still a student and do not have money. But now I would like to start my first gold investment. I have a few question that hope all for you can give me some opinion.

Now I have rm3-5k to put in gold investment but I do not really know where to put. Paper gold or physical gold?

Question:

1. If were to invest in paper gold, invest in paper gold provided by banks or those future like share?

2. If invest in paper gold, are you holding long term or short term? I saw alot of ppl in forum are keep traking the price everyday hoping to buy low and sell high. But gold price are not volatile as forex, can we really buy low and sell high lets say in one month?

3. Thinking to invest in physical gold, but keeping will be a problem. Open a safe with UOB might need to pay RM300++ annually. Which doesnt worth the investment plan unless you are buy few kg golds.

4. Kuwait bank is the only bank that allows you to convert paper gold to physical gold which means your money invest is backed by physical gold. Any drawback from that bank?

Thank you for all your time

Is forex investment suitable for amatuer

Hey guys, can you help me out here?

Not long a go, a bunch of my friends were discussing which investment is the best for fresh graduate. One of that suggested that forex is the best. He said that he knows the way to GUARANTEE earn by aiming 1 pip everyday if u have the money.(I dont know how he did tat even though he explained to me as I dont believe in such a way). I have gone through alot of books and seminars. Mr Milan doshi stated that forex is the high risk investment and only suitable for the rich ppl. Mr Robert Kiyosaki and Mr Donald Trump dint encourage people especially the fresh graduate to enter the forex market. My idea is to become a savvy investor we have to know the games we play. Ex for forex we have to know the money flow of the country with tonnes of study to do. But according my friend, his way does not need to study and jz a click of the mouse will make you earn.

All the master, can you enlighten me on my friend's statement? So that next time I can explain to him forex is not that easy as he thinks. Below are my doubts:

1. Is there really tat easy to earn in forex? I mean with the fluctuation and hardly predict flow of money.
2. Is this the type of investment suitable for fresh grad?
3. For those who oppose the idea / someone who active in forex, can u tell me the pro & con in forex?

Thank you very much
