Is Malaysian Market Overvalued?

Do you think guys think the market is currently overvalued?

I do not think so, done quick analysis. Malaysian market seems to be slightly higher than average PE
of other stock exchanges but its average dividend yield is above the average of other stock exchanges.

List of comparable exchanges shown below:
http://beyondsolutionmalaysia.blogspot.com...overvalued.html

Hedging With Negative Beta Stocks

In finance, the Beta (β) of a stock or portfolio is a number describing the relation of its returns with that of the financial market as a whole.[1]

An asset has a Beta of zero if its returns change independently of changes in the market's returns. A positive beta means that the asset's returns generally follow the market's returns, in the sense that they both tend to be above their respective averages together, or both tend to be below their respective averages together. A negative beta means that the asset's returns generally move opposite the market's returns: one will tend to be above its average when the other is below its average.[2]

Therefore, we can hedge our portfolio risk in falling stock markets by choosing stocks with negative beta. As the market returns will be negative (due to market downturn), stocks with negative beta should theoretically generate positive returns.

The following table is list the of stocks with negative beta, listed on Bursa Malaysia:
http://beyondsolutionmalaysia.blogspot.com...eta-stocks.html
