Mattress Topper Experience

I have a king size mattress but it is a bit too firm for me. I initially planned to replace it with a new one but my mattress is still new (less than 2 years) and a new, good mattress is a bit over my budget, so I am thinking to get a mattress topper instead. Does anyone have any experience to share with using a mattress topper and what brand would you recommend?

Thanks in advance.

Anyone used flexible tiles before?

I was doing some research on home renovation and stumbled upon some ads on Facebook about flexible tiles. Based on my understanding from Google, flexible tiles can have many different designs and they can be used to cover existing tiles without hacking the existing walls and tiles.

I have a 10-year old house which I would like to do some touch-up or minor renovation with as little hacking as possible, so flexible tiles seem like a good option. I was thinking to demolish all the built-in kitchen cabinets and lay a new layer of flexible tiles on the existing tiles/walls of the kitchen walls and floor before installing new kitchen cabinets. I was also thinking using flexible tiles to cover all the existing tiles in the dining room and bathroom as the design of the current tiles are kind of old.

What do you think? I would like to see if anyone here has any experience with using flexible tiles in your home or know anything about flexible tiles. My biggest concern would be that while it could be easy to use flexible tiles to minimize the hacking, I am not sure the durability or if there are any drawbacks compared to using the traditional ceramic or porcelain tiles. Any comments or feedback are welcome.

Hi all, I just got my new CR-V not too long ago. It's the facelifted model 1.5 TC-P 2WD. Wanted to ask if anyone knows of any good accessories shop that sell 360 degree camera for CR-V. And is it possible that the camera works with my existing head unit?

Also, will installing 360 degree camera void my car warranty?

Thanks.

Hi guys, after tons of research on the internet, I still struggle to get the whole picture of importing stuff from New Zealand. Does anyone know whether I use dagangnet to apply for import permit BEFORE or AFTER I place my order and arrange for shipment of my stuff in New Zealand? Some told me that it should be after, but what if I fail to get the import permit? Wouldn't my whole consignment be stuck in Port Klang?

Hi all, Maybank Amex cards used to offer 5% cash rebate for petrol, but they no longer have this benefit. So I am looking for another credit card that would offer good cash rebate that doesn't charge annual fee. I looked it up on the Internet but most credit cards that have good cash rebate for petrol come with annual fee.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks.

iPhone can't connect to Unifi

I have Unifi installed at my house about two months ago and it's been working fine. My sister came to stay at my house three weeks ago, so I connected her iPhone to the wifi and it was all great.

Two days ago, my sister came to my place and stayed two nights again. Her iPhone remembered the wifi network but it couldn't connect to the network. I tried to enter the password again but it kept saying incorrect password. She even restarted her phone but I still kept getting the incorrect password error. I was sure the password is correct. At that time, my laptop and cell phone are connected to the wifi without any issue. In the end, I shut down both the modem and wifi router and then switched them on, and then entered the wifi password on the iPhone. This time it finally successfully connected to the network.

It worked great until this morning when my sister's cell phone couldn't connect to the wifi again. I don't have the same issue with my laptop and cell phone. I can even run a speed test. So my question is, does anyone have any idea what's the issue that caused this and how to solve it? Thanks in advance!

Small pans on larger electric burner

Hi all, I bought an electric stove for my house some time ago. I just realized that it has some pan size recognition feature that won't allow me to use any pot or pan that has size smaller than 12 cm. But the pots and pans that I own are mostly small because I usually cook for one or two persons. How will I be able to use my small pots and pans on this electric stove? Thanks.

TV with HDMI port at the left/right side

Hi all, I am looking to buy a new 50"-55" TV and I will hang it on the living room wall instead of putting it on TV stand. I will not be getting Astro but will use HDMI to connect my laptop to the TV whenever I want to watch YouTube or any shows.

I am looking at some brands like Samsung, Panasonic and Toshiba and I realize all their HDMI ports are at the rear side of the TV instead of right or left side. I think this would make it difficult for me to hook up my HDMI cable when I want to connect my laptop to the TV. Does anyone have experience with this? Or is there any TV model that has HDMI ports at the right/left side of the TV? Thanks.

Waterproof fabric to prevent rain

Hi all, at the back of my house, I had my contractor put up a metal rooftop, so that I can put my washing machine and also hang my clothes to dry. However, the side wall was only partially built up by the previous owner, so if the rain is heavy and it's windy, the whole area will still be wet. I intend to leave the side wall as it is, and then use some water-proof fabric to cover the side. I can tie the 4 corners of the fabric to the grille. This way it would be cheap.

Anyone knows what material of the fabric that I should use? Nylon? And where can I buy it? Thanks.

Hi guys, I bought an old house and the renovation is going to start soon. I was thinking after the renovation, I will get Unifi and Astro for the house. My concern is Unifi and Astro will both need to pull wires or cables to my house right? That means they will have to drill holes to pull through the cables and there will be cables visible along the walls. How do you guys usually handle Unifi and Astro wiring? Any suggestion is welcome! Thanks
