Hi Sifus,

I need some help if anyone can recommend which brand to go with. Buying for my brother in overseas as a gift. My budget is 1-2k.

So far I see Getha, Dunlopillo, Goodnite, slumberland.
Most models I see are 5CM, some are 10CM, but not able to find the pricing info online for 10CM.

Question about vacuum sealing, I see some tourist actually purchase pillowss and they use vacuum to compress the size for check-in, just wondering if any shops has this kind of service?

Any suggestion is appreciated.

Just trying my luck if anyone can advise me.
I'm planning for a trip to Sitiawan, Perak during CNY. First time going there.
Just wondering is there any coach that starts directly from anywhere near JB checkpoint? Was thinking this will save the hassle of going to Larkin for that.
I travel few days before CNY.

Toshiba Transmemory forgot password

Hi All,

Forgot my Toshiba Transmemory password (the password protected model) as the last time I used it was ages ago.
There are some precious memory stored in there and I am trying to retrieve it.
The only way for me to have access back to the pen drive is to reformat it due to the password.

My question, I know normal pen drive, after reformatting I can use recovery software to retrieve most of my data.
In that case as this is a password protected, will the firmware be smart enough to 0 wipe the memory?

If not, I think I can go ahead and reformat and retrieve the stuffs using software.
If the firmware does wipe out the memory, is there any other way I can get help to recover the pen drive password?

Hi Guys,

Not sure if it's the right place to ask. I am currently in the process of selling off an apartment.

However, the SpA drafted by buyer's lawyer seems fishy. Is there any lawyer that you guys can recommend for such small matter?
I just wanted to make sure that my benefit is protected in case something happens.
Please advise, as I read online there are many lawyers overcharging etc. So just want to avoid such case.

Annuity Plan

Have a question... I'm not sure if my case should fall under annuity plan... Here's my situation:
Sorry for all the wrong words/terms used.

I have a relative whom I would like to "buy" him a retirement plan.
Basically a plan that will be able to give the insured X amount of money for N months.
Should the insured pass away... I would have nominated who is going to be the inheritor.
Example.. 1,000 a month that will last for 240months (so i will buy the plan of 240k, provided 0 interest)
The plan will continue until the tenure expires, and nobody could intervene

Please give any advise you have so I will get a clue where to start digging.

Jumper Cable for 5GHZ AC Wifi

Hi All,

I'm looking for a jumper cable for my 5GHZ AC WIFI antenna that comes with the adapter.

I have tried using RG58 cable but might be because of high loss it didn't work and I need to extend by around 5 meter.

Please advise where I can get a better quality cable for this purpose.

Dual Band AC Wifi Antenna

I have a on board AC Wifi Adapter that supports dual band (2.4/5GHZ) with 2 dedicated physical antenna.

Due to weak signal as the CPU is placed under table, I plan to buy a jumper cable for this. I am only using 5GHZ AC and not 2.4GHZ.

Am I right to say, among the 2 SMA ports, 1 supports 2.4GHZ, another one is 5GHZ?
If I only wanna use 5GHZ, I only need to buy 1 jumper cable for the extension right?

Radeon R7 260X three display possible?

Hi guys,

recently purchased a R7 260x GPU (link as below) and I have 2 monitor, 1 using the HDMI and another display using DVI port

I see the website saying that this GPU can support 3 monitors. But I'm not sure if I can just hookup the 3rd monitor to display port? Don't have display that supports DP, so I was thinking DP to HDMI adapter. Is this possible?

I don't wish to spend more money to buy MST hub or any additional equipment

Funding USD Account with USD on hand

Hi Guys,

Not sure if this is the right place to ask.

I have USD on hand as I was working in US previously. I would like to fund my forex account with the USD I have, but my bank told me that they only take local currency, and I will have to convert back to RM and then to USD again.

This will make the cost very high considering USD now is very strong, I hope I have a choice to pay a fix amount of fee and they can TT my USD into my USD account overseas.

Anyone knows a better method? I know most traders convert between USD and their local currency. But in my case whereby my USD fund is too small to open a foreign currency account with local bank, is there a more economical approach to transfer?

Buy leech for treatment

Guys,

Few years back there was someone who actually "rear" leech to sell to hospitals in my hometown. Some friends actually tried and proven to be quite effective for certain illness.
But now no where to be found...

Not sure if you guys know any supplier for those big leeches used for treatment/therapy?

I know there are some places that offer leech therapy...but i would prefer takeaway and do it at home
And also those therapy centre may "reuse" the leeches...so some risk involved.

Anyway, do let me know if any of you have contacts.

I found that the car rate is still ok...usually $30+ for sedan per day....Just wondering is there any hidden charges that I might encounter later on?

Fungus grows even if the storage seems good

Hi Guys,

I just found that fungus grew on my lenses (3 of them have little fungus)

I haven't been shooting for quite some time....but I've always stored them in an air-tight container with thirsty hippo(change regularly)

Been using my lens for around 5 years....and now it happened...

In this case, what can I do?
Should I really purchase a professional dry box as the air-tight container may not be good enough?

And also, I was thinking of getting some chemical solution to wipe the fungus off....Any recommendation?

Would like to know where is the better place to bring my parents for holiday.

I was thinking to either go taiwan or China...opting for scenery and relax...not big cities...

But China is rather big....and the air pollution nowadays seems like quite serious....if going at times like this...which location would you advice?

I did quite much research on taiwan already....basically knows places to go....

But for China I almost have 0 clue~~~and how tourist friendly is the suggested place will be appreciated. Thanks!!!

Hi Guys,

Been working for 2 years after graduation. I know it's time to move on from current company.

Now there is just 1 issue. For the past weeks I went for 3 interviews.

Among them, 1 offered me a job already today.
Some pay increment, but honestly this is my last choice. And they wanted me to sign offer latest by next week

Now, the job that I favor most....is calling for 2nd level interview next week.....
But if I were going to take the risk by not signing....I might not get the job I favor...and lose both potential jobs

I was worried employer might do something against me if I were to sign the offer and later on revoke the contract....

Can give some advice what can I do at this point?

Sign first reject later? Or take the risk of not signing hoping I get the job I favor more?
