MiFa Bluetooth speakers

MiFa A10 BT Speaker

Recently Mifa approached me and hoping that I could promote their bluetooth speakers in the community, and hence they flew in Mifa A10 directly, in hopes of a review of it, and spread the word a little for them.

The design
Frankly speaking, the design of the A10 I got was the graffiti, and it looks really eye catching. People could notice a cool looking speaker from far away.

The unit
The unit itself is actually not that big. It fits in the hands, it's light, definitely in the bag. Length is about the size of an air con remote. Slots available are micro SD, aux in and micro USB charger. The top is play pause, volume and BT button. Beside is the LED button, seen white and red only.

Special Feature
The A10 has a TWS functionality, according to them, where you can pair another A10 together and it will "fuse" together and become a pair of stereo speaker. Double the speaker, double the volume, double the oomph.

I did not have a pair, so I didnt realise that was possible， but it is definitely nice to have such function ready at such a low cost BT speaker.

General listening
Oh baby this thing packs a punch, for the size, it does have a strong bass pop, but then it doesnt have the super lows but hey, it's a small unit, it cant have a big sub inside right?

Mid range is quite good, has the forward sounding vocals and a good layering between foreground and background music.

The high note is adequately sufficient to make it not sound like a cheap ass bluetooth speaker that sounds god almighty awful. It has the slight tingling treble and not much spikes and overly done notes to it. I quite like the overall balance of the sound that it becomes my daily in car driver, replacing my car stereo.

Playtime and other notes
I tried a continuous playback and it can reach 10 hours - 12 hours. That is rather impressive for me. The IP rating is IP 45, which I THINK it can handle some rain outdoors but of course not submersible. Just keep the flap tight and it should be fine. Oh，and the little suction feet is a nice add on, keeping it firm on smooth surfaces.

The micro SD issue
Tried a 200GB micro SD on it and it doesnt work Guess it's a typical reader that needs FAT32 file format.

Since my card isnt supported, I'll take their word for it that it supports flac. Hope it does.

Price and availability
According to the sponsor, they are selling this brand themselves on lazada, and my findings on lelong is castleIT. My unit got shipped and arrived in less than a week, via poslaju, so they might be using EMS based courier, a little more reliable.

The A10 goes for RM119 but I can hook you up for a discount.

As shown in the images are the input and output of the Q192, there is coaxial out, the RCA out and the prioritized front HO, which will disable the analogue out of the rear when plugged in. Input wise, are as shown coaxial in and USB

Sound impression
Headphone out via HD650 and RHA MA750i
The headphone out will sound thin and digital, it doesnt have the strength to push the bass and subs out effectively, heck even on my IEM it needs at least 2 oclock of volume turned, and even more on HD650. Kind of expecting to be disappointed if to use Q192 as the headphone out. Everything feels dead flat and there is no enjoyment to it like listening to your stock IEM from the phone bundle. Urgh~

Digital out to Alesis Elevate 5 speakers
Since my speakers have their own amplification, RCA out digitally would be a better option, and still, bass couldnt be punched out effectively, but the mid vocals and high notes are very well portrayed out. Clicks and beats can be heard clearly, although micro details could be buried at times. Some passive speakers could use this, as there is the option to switch between fixed line out or variable line out, and when I tried out the variable line out, just for fun, turning the knob up to 3 o clock, again..

Conclusion
For me, the Q192 suits more towards powering out the DAC to speakers rather than using it on headphones, unless you are the flat top type music lover, cause I am not. So, I can neither recommend nor not recommend this Q192, things are just lacking here and there, and from what I scanned around, not a lot of community that uses Q192, instead opted in for the newer versions (this was a 2014 model that is discontinued). Hope they had made changes significantly after 2014.

Pai Audio Review

Pai Audio Background and info

Pai Audio originated from Shenzen, China that specializes in earphones manufacturing at a relatively low price. Their current highest price point of IEM is merely less than RM2k which is a blast considering it's a quad BA system

Current line up of Pai IEMs are:

PR1: an earbud with one 13 mm dynamic driver per side.

DR1: a dynamic in-ear with one dynamic driver per side.

MR1: Balanced Armature in-ear with one BA driver per side.

MR2: Balanced Armature in-ear with two BA drivers per side in two-way configuration.

MR3: Balanced Armature in-ear with three BA drivers per side in two-way configuration.

MR4: Balanced Armature in-ear with four BA drivers per side in three-way configuration.

IN my little review, I'll be viewing MR1 to MR4 in subsequent posts

Packaging

Their packaging are all universal and are the same, and in the attachment, i beg you to differ which is MR2-4

MR1 is more simplistic, with a round plastic thin can and some tips in it, thats all.

Connectors
Besides MR1, all other MR uses MMCX connectors, which personally I do not like it, I get loose connections at times and loses audio momentarily

MR2 to 4 comes in 3 color variations

as per topic, when i Uninstall the amd gpu driver, the windows will be able to load properly, but if i install a gpu driver, my windows will not load and will have to enter safe mode and remove driver for it to load

Cypher Labs recently just started to venture into BA IEM, which is the C6iem, and coincidentally, it is on massdrop. So, am I the only one on massdrop that placed the commitment on lowest price unlocking?
