hey guys,

any reliable grille guy to into? i was quoted for solid flat bar grille window is RM20psf and door is RM25psf with power coating. reasonable??

was thinking to change all my room door frame to metal frame, between wooden and metal frame which is better? i checked with a carpenter shop at uptown, cheapest plywood door is RM160, door frame is Rm310 exclude other accessories and installation . add up will b about RM700-800. so bloody expensive. is metal frame cheaper? how much? n where can i get it?

BAD experience with Fo Sin Glass at Jln Ipoh

Hey guys,

just wanna express my feeling towards this shop.

i was looking for aluminum glass window for my new house. so i went thru LYN n hoping to get some good recommendation, n i came across Fo Sin Aluminum and Glass. I know is very difficult to explain on the phone what i want for my house, so i purposely drove down to jalan ipoh.

so i spent almost an hour drawing n explaining to the boss, mr hong. in the end, he said he got it n will email me the quotation. so i left.

2 weeks later, no news. then i called him again n apparently he totally forget who i am. so nvm, i explain again n whatsapp him my drawing n sample of the window tat i wan. he said ok ok then hang up. 1 week passed, no news at all. then i whatsapp him to remind him, no reply. then i whatsapp again ask when can i get my quotation. finally he called back, telling me, with the material u wan, will b expensive. i said nvm, with the material tat i wan, just give me the quotation, i wanna make some comparison. SO JUST FREAKING GIVE ME THE QUOTATION. he said ok then hang up.

few days later, it was a saturday morning, around 7am, he sent about 7-8 whastapp messages n woke me up. when i look at it, IT WAS NOT THE QUOTATION, he just sent my drawings n photos tat i sent to him earlier. i was so pissed n i told him since he is not interested to do my biz, then forget about it.

renovation itself is really headache n when comes to this kind of supplier, lagi muntah darah.

anyway, is just my personal experience, some other ppl may have different experience.

after pregnancy test

i have bloated tummy and big boobies for the past few days. so my hubby n i decided to go for a pregnancy test. i took the test this morning, n it shows positive (yeay!!). we went straight to gynae n dr told us nowadays the pregnancy test is very accurate, so confirm kena. but when he did ultrasound, he saw shadow only, said too early to tell is a good baby or bad (what??!!!?!), told us to come back 3 weeks later for another checkup. it does freak me out a lil. should i go to another gynae to check and confirm again? im just worried. or any good and affordable gynae around pj, usj or kd area? i did my consultation n ultrasound, n it cost me rm 120 n also whats the standard price? thanks in advance

where to buy cheap raw material

hey guys,

i just bought a super duper run down DSL in klang valley and gonna start my reno soon.

have found a few contractors quoted me with front and back extension, wall hacking, change whole house flooring, toilet tiles replacement, 8ft height glass window n door, new wiring, piping etc. Almost the whole house need to do lah, estimated cost RM100k - 130k, all in.

then this indon contractor, found in LYN quoted me RM40k for workmanship. I was wondering, possible all the raw material cost up to RM60k - 90k?

anyway, since my working time is very flexible and i have lil interest in interior designing, so i decided to use the indon contractor and buy my own raw material (and also because i have very thin wallet)

would like to ask where can i buy cheap, and roughly how much it cost:
1. clay and sand bricks
2. cement
3. sands
etc, raw material to do extension and tiling part.
(pls name it for me if i have missed out any)

and also, where can i get good quality yet reasonable price (aka cheap ):
1. tiles
2. glass and window frame (full height)
3. door
4. auto gate
5. built in wardrobe
6. grille
etc, (have i missed out anything??)

will be heading to reno and home expo tmr at klcc to survey more on the pricing.

part time or online interior design course

hey guys...

this is my first time posting and not too sure how is this whole thing works.

anyway, im almost 30 and working time is very flexible.

im looking for either PART time or ONLINE interior design course in klang valley.

i dont really need a diploma or degree cert as im learning purely for my interest. just wanna wanna learn the basic of interior designing and how to work with the computer.

of course, money will be an issue as i will need to pay my own fee.

pls feel free to suggest any institute or online course, my options r still open (is because i have no idea at all )
