REDtone bags MyGovUC 3.0 contract worth RM398.1mil

KUALA LUMPUR: Redtone Digital Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary REDtone Engineering & Network Services Sdn Bhd (RENS) has been awarded a MyGovUC 3.0 contract valued at RM398.1mil for the provision of communications to the Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (Mampu).

The contract commenced on Feb 1, 2024, for a period of 60 months.

Malaysia Volleyball League 2012 now in the third leg playing in Kuala Selangor Sports Complex between 9-10th of June 2012. Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam still undefeated leading the men's league ranking.

Multilingual Malaysian race...

I post this up as a reply in another thread. However, when I think further perhaps it is not a bad idea if our kids can take up extra language classes for communication instead of taking up 10-12 subjects for their PMR & SPM exams.

Why not make it compulsory for all Malaysian kids in school to take up mandarin, tamil, cantonese, arabic and perhaps kelantanese dialect just for a few years, let say Standard 4,5 & 6. Focus more on learning the languages for communication. English and malay language are already compulsory subjects. Then, they can choose if they want to take advanced classes for a few more years on only one of the languages (Form 1, 2, 3).

Perhaps then, the new generation will understand each other better. I know there are many of us who can speak fluent english, malay, mandarin, arabic and tamil... or at least any 3 of those languages.

This is perhaps easier to implement compared to making all school in Malaysia to be of a single type... no more SRJK, Sek Men Agama, etc.

Kelantan gagal selesai masalah kesesakan

BACHOK 3 Sept. - Kelantan tidak mungkin dapat menyelesaikan masalah kesesakan jalan raya di seluruh negeri terutama pada musim perayaan bagi tempoh 10 hingga 15 tahun akan datang, kata Timbalan Menteri Kewangan, Senator Datuk Dr. Awang Adek Hussin.

Beliau berkata, jika kerajaan negeri pimpinan Pas gagal menyelesaikan isu itu selepas diberi peluang sejak lebih 21 tahun lepas, mereka berkemungkinan besar tidak mampu melakukan perubahan buat selama-lamanya.

"Walaupun negeri lain seperti Kuala Lumpur berlaku kesesakan, tetapi mereka ada perubahan dan perancangan untuk menyelesaikannya, tetapi tidak di Kelantan,” katanya mengulas kesesakan teruk di negeri itu sebelum dan selepas Aidilfitri.

Antara jalan paling teruk dilanda kesesakan ialah Gua Musang-Kuala Krai, Kota Baharu-Tumpat dan Pasir Puteh-Kota Baharu.

Sebelum ini, Pengarah Jabatan Keselamatan Jalan Raya (JKJR) Kelantan Mohd Azlisham Abdul Rahman berkata jumlah kenderaan yang pulang berhari raya di negeri itu tahun ini dijangka bertambah secara mendadak kepada 80,000 orang berbanding 60,000 pada tahun lepas. - Bernama

Malaysia Volleyball League Grand Final

Malaysia Volleyball League 2011 finals will begin at 12 noon today (Sunday, 31/7/2011) with women final match and then followed by men final match at around 2:00 pm (or immediately after women final if it ends earlier. In the morning, 3rd-4th placing matches will be held first with women 3-4th at 830 am and men 3-4th at 10 am.

Schedule and teams:

3rd-4th matches
Women - 8:30 am - Sibu vs Bukit Jalil Sports School
Men - 10 am - Sibu vs MBSA
