Furniture touch-up using a marker pen ?!

I recently bought a TV cabinet and 2 bar stools from Crown, Avenue@Puchong. When they delivered the items to me, I was asked to check. I noticed the quality of the TV cabinet is rather bad in the sense that the skin are almost peeling out at the edges. Told the fella and to my surprise, they have brought along marker pens and they just "color" it back for me. Then i happened to be touching one corner and to my horror the skin chipped and fell off. And that fella told me all are the same and just color it back for me also. I looked at him and asked "are you expecting me to accept a chipped TV cabinet after paying RM1200 for it ?". And he insisted all are the same.

Same goes to one of my bar stool. There's a very obvious scratch on it and they just color it back with the marker pen.

Is this a new way of "repairing" peeling and scratched furnitures ? I haven't been buying furnitures for a long time so I could be outdated but whatever it is, I'm still in shock with the method used.

Meaning where all the wires come out now, need to make a hole and push all the wires back to come out on the other side.

Anyone has any contacts of qualified electrician for me to check price ? Very very urgent. TQ !

Undermount Sink

I've been going round looking for one but find my choices to be very limited. Hence, would like to see if anyone here could help.

I want a double bowl (both of the same size), 1 mm thickness with rounded edges . I've seen a few squarish ones but not preferred as they are difficult to clean. Not brand counscious.

Found one Bareno brand but two different shops telling me different measurement for the thickness. One said 0.8mm the other said 1mm. Dunno who to believe.

By the way, is it alright to use a 0.8mm thickness ? Another shop told me not to as it'll dent easily and the sink hole will leak over time coz it bends easily with heavy things place in it.

Thanks.

Gas pipe relocation

Anybody has any idea where to find a certified Gas M'sia contractor to relocate the pipe in the condo ? I called GM and apparently they only have ONE contractor listed with them and that fella slaughter me I think. Not too sure if GM is providing me with accurate info also that they only have one contractor. With only one quotation I cant compare prices. My rough estimation on the length of the pipe is max 200 cm non-concealed and quoted RM950.

Appreciate any assistance.

Alternatives to using gas cooker

I'm planning to move my cooking to the drying area of my condo but I do not plan to seal off the grille. But one of the contractors told me that I wouldn't be able to cook in that way due to wind blowing. Not that that area is very windy as I noticed.

Anyhow, am now considering induction cooker. Or if any experts here can give me some advice on any alternatives ? How's the performance of an induction cooker anyway ? I've heard mixed reviews abt it. Apparently, we have to use special pots and pans designed for induction cooker. Is it true ?

Free Standing Cooker

Due to space constraint for my concrete table top, I may need to opt for a free standing cooker at my wet kitchen. But I hardly see anyone talking about it or even using it i believe. Can anyone give me some recommendations or advise please ?

Thanks.
