Employer paying commission as cash

Hi all,
Story short, I'm a permanent staff receiving normal basic salary.
On top of that, I receive commission but it is in terms of cash (not shown in payslip)
My employer explained that it is for my benefit (LHDN)

Just want to ask what is the consequences for me (employee) & how employer benefits from this?
