We have Kitchen Musical cast as well - Carla Dunareanu and Erwin Shah Ismail

Featuring a pool of Asia's talented casts comprising both veteran and up-and-coming new faces from around the region, The Kitchen Musical is a tantalizing tale stretching 13 episodes of an hour each, centered around good food, great wines.
Each episode will be wrapped in specially re-arranged and re-recorded popular hit songs animated with dance sequences. A menu of delicious dishes AND dessert will be featured every episode that promises to be as luscious and addictive as the show itself.

Public Speaking - The Personal, The Truth, The Real Thing

Every time when we listen to a speech, we will always harbour a thought deep in us: Does he/she mean what he/she is saying? Does the speaker need to believe in what he/she is saying in order to move an audience, or is it a language game?

Taking these questions to class, KDU University College lecturers Richard Chua and Sina Azinfar challenged the January 2012 class of the public speaking module to the above test. How do they weave the personal, lay out the truth, convincingly convey the real thing to audiences who harbour their own biasness?

Perhaps a safe environment is what a speaker needs, to allay fears, to pretend to be someone; theatre is that safe space to carry out the experiment. We invite you to come join these students in making the discovery together.

Bachelor of Game Development

The Entertainment Industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world economy. In fact, Electronic Games have become mainstream media, with nett earnings even surpassing that of the film industry. An industry study conducted on the worldwide video game industry has predicted that the video game boom will continue through to 2012, with total sales soaring to $68.4 billion

Asia-Pacific will be the largest area of growth in both revenues and unit sales and is expected to grow to $21.1 Billion in 2013 according to research.

For those who are interested in pursuing a career in the gaming industry, KDU University College’s upcoming Bachelor of Game Development is right up their alley. The programme is most suitable for those who are creative and/or artistic, highly technical or with a good grasp of logic together with aspirations in dynamic career options. Game Development is a process that involves interdisciplinary cooperation of technical disciplines like software engineering and creative disciplines like art and writing.

Through this new programme, KDU will be able to develop graduates who are able to respond and adapt readily to emerging and changing trends and technology in Game Development. The Bachelor of Game Development (Honours) is a 3-year programme that allows the students an option to major in any one of the Three (3) Discipline Tracks. The students must select their Discipline Major at the first semester. However, due to the philosophy of the programme which encourages the integration of all three distinct disciplines to simulate an actual Game Development Production Cycle, students from all three tracks will have common Game Modules along their course of studies as well as the opportunity to work in several development projects together.

The KDU Game Development Programme has also invested heavily in an Alienware Lab, functioning as a Game Studio for the students to work on their development projects. The University has also established a Game Console Area which would allow the students to play and explore the various console games available in the market as part of their studies into the various platforms and game genres.
