Can approved leave be cancelled?

Hi, just wanna ask something regarding the approved leave.

I have a friend who has applied for a leave going to holiday with his family. All of sudden, his leave just got cancelled because his supervisor tersilap tengok the date and said his leave couldn't be approved because lack of manpower on that particular week.

This is something new to me and I never thought of this. Can a supervisor cancel an approved leave just like that? What if I have buy flight tickets, book hotel, restaurant and etc? All money go down into drain because i know not everything can be refunded.

Co-owners run away and refuse to pay house loan

My brother bought a property with two friends, namely A and B.

A has gone MIA and B doesn't want to deal with this anymore and refuse to pay house loan now.

Only my brother and A's names are on the title.

To make things slightly more complicated, it's A who lives in the property promising to pay rent plus with the house loan. Now that he has gone MIA, my brother isn't able to rent out the house because he doesn't have the keys.

My brother has paid for the loan alone for many months and he received a message from B saying that he wants to give up his portion of shares and do not want to handle all this any longer.

Is there anything my brother can do to solve this?

Can I go to work if my family members are covid +?

Hi everyone. Need to consult pros here because instruction given by KKM isn't clear.

My family members was diagnosed to be covid positive last Thursday (10th February) and I have applied for 1 week leave.

Next Monday onward can I go to work since I live under the same roof with my family members? Do I need to do PCR test first?

Do not trust the saliva test kit

Just wanna share my story here not to trust the saliva test kit or you may end up feeling guilty just like me. I had fever on first day of cny and at that time it was just a mild fever so I thought it was caused by lack of sleep. I didn't sleep on CNY eve because I had family problem.

On the second day of cny, my fever didn't subside and I went to buy a saliva test kit and my result was negative. I felt kind of relief but my fever still didn't subside on the third day of cny and therefore, I went to pantai hospital early in the morning to do blood test thinking it was dengue. The result for dengue was also negative and the doctor changed the prescription.

The antibody given by the pantai hospital work and I felt much better on the same day. On the next day (4th day of cny), I felt like recovered but still taking the medicine. I also did one more time saliva test kit just to confirm that I wasn't covid positive and yes as expected, result was negative.

On fifth day, I started not to take panadol and no more fever. I thought I was completely recovered.

However, my family started to feel sick one after another starting with my mom. She started to feel uncomfortable on 6th day of cny. Thinking it was just exhaustion because she didn't really sleep just to take care of me for past few days. She went to see doctor nonetheless and felt much better after taking the medicine. She even went to my grandma's house who lived nearby to prepare the food on the seventh day of cny.

On 7th day of cny, my father also complained of body aches and went to see doctor. He didn't suspect anything because he felt body aches regularly but since doctor said he also had fever so he bought a test kit to test. I helped him to test and the result was negative and we all felt relieved.

At night time, my brother also started to cough and felt discomfort in the throat. I went to see doctor with him and he said he ate too many fried and oily food.

Actually, I already started to suspect that I kena covid and spread to my family member but after my father taking the med, he was kind like Ok so I thought maybe I think too much and my brother was pretty much healthy at that moment so yea.

On 8th day of cny, my brother started to have fever. Ironically, my father like nothing and went to work.

9th day of cny, my brother went to see doctor again and my mom followed because she too felt not so good. At this time, I already felt something not right and asked my brother to test.

What made me vomit blood is, my brother went to see doctor but didn't test rtk nor PCR at clinic. What he did is he bought three more saliva kit, and I couldn't tahan anymore and said of course u test at clinic mah since you can claim company and he said he didn't think of it. I didn't dare to comment much also lah because first, if he kena most likely it was because of me and secondly, I also relied on that Saliva test.

At night, my grandma started to feel sick at night and like no energy.

10th day of cny, my uncle brought my grandma to clinic and even did the rtk test since she's so old. Surprisingly, she was diagnosed with covid.

We were all shocked and went to did the test. I wanted to do PCR but since ran out of equipment, I did rtk instead.

My father (rtk) - positive
Me (rtk) - negative
My mom (PCR) - positive
My brother (PCR) - positive

So after the result was released, I was very shocked and I really feel guilty. Although my result is negative but there's chances that I might have recovered. I cannot sleep at night because I felt things could have been better if I didn't trust the saliva kit so much.

Now I don't even know if I spread it to them and I just feel so guilty.

Can a lawyer be lawyer in other countries?

As per the title, can a lawyer who went to a law school in Malaysia become a lawyer in other country?

I know it's a bit hard if the language is different like Japan or South Korea but what about English speaking countries like US, UK, Canada and so on?

I understand the law is different in every country, does that mean that law certificate is pretty much useless if you move to other country? You have to start from scratch again to go to law school in that particular country to be a lawyer?

Does this mean I have been in contact with a person who is infected by Covid19?

Or is it because I have been to quite a number of places ( ppv, hospital and nirvana) so that I'm now at higher risk to have been with people who are infected with covid (not necessarily mean I have been in contact with one)?

And it doesn't tell where got myself this status....

I applied this for more than a month ago (few days after the application started) and still the status is "permohonan diterima''.

i sent emails to them but no reply.

As far as I know, they cannot do so as it against Section 12 under Consumer Protection Act 1999. What if it's stated in their T&C that they reserve the right to do so?

Just like Hermos did a mistake few days ago about the voucher codes and they had to cancel all the orders that were placed during their promotion period.

Do they have the right to do so?

What do you guys put at achievement part?

Basically, I'm just a junior executive with nothing much to boast.

However, I believe I have done my part well because I constantly get complimented by my superiors.

1) Customer Service
- Appraisal -7/10
- Frequently received compliments from customers.
- Received compliments from HOD
- Had loyal customers that would look for me instead of other CS agents when they had issues
- Bosses from other dept wanted me to be transferred to their dept when I couldn't stand CS job anymore

2) Marketing
- Appraisal - 8/10
- Frequently complimented by HOD/GM
- Received compliments from clients
- Received the most certificates for 'syok-sendiri' programme organised by my company

Despite all these, i have nothing to boast like what I see on internet how they have helped company earned xxxx money, successfully organised a project and yada yada.

Besides that, is it ok for the resume to be 4 pages long?

Does anyone know if I'm entitled for the paid holiday if I tender my resignation on 3rd of July?

Meaning, my last day should be on 2nd September (2 months notice). However, will i get paid for that because it's a public holiday on 1st of September (Hari Raya Haji) and the following day is Saturday?

Degree VS Short Part Time Course
