I'm looking to skip degree with Diploma in IT that’s was more than 15 years ango and go straight to this masters to supplement my current work.

I think OUM course is affordable to me, other options like Sunway can be a little expensive, close to double of what OUM offered.

For context l'm already 30+, a few years of business / data analytics experience looking to upskill myself. I was in an unrelated field for the first decade of my work life, didn't manage to finish a degree as a result of life took precedence over my education.

My analytics experience is around 4 years now, mostly doing business analytics and business intelligence tasks.

Welcome anyone in the field of data analytics, data management, business intelligence, decision science.

About myself:
- studied diploma in IT but worked in cosntruction project management since i finish study (family business)
- career switch after 30 from construction into analytics (move away from family)
- role progression (summarised):
--report generation > end to end analytics > analytics strategy
- 2 industries, 3 roles, 4 years
- my title just hovers around business data analyst

Career transition / switch is difficult, don't do it unless you are required to, I wouldn't say it wouldn't worth it but there is a cost towards spending the best year of your life trying to rebuild your skillset, career and pay.

My forte is really about data management, analytics and decision making framework. I prefer to be tools agnostics but I have experience in both Power BI and Tableau, they both have different behaviour and preferences and I believe strongly about the fundamentals rather than picking a famous tools. But if you really have to choose in Malaysia probably Microsoft stack is the safest.

So whether you're looking to transition or new graduate, dump your questions here so everyone can help in answering

Dear all, just want to say I started a new thread hoping you guys can help me out in a very short time frame. I tried checking the m43 thread but it seems they are going a little bit slow and I have a bit limited time. I own an Olympus EPL-1 that comes with the dual kit lens (14-42mm + 40-150mm). I have an oncoming trip Vietnam in less than 2 days to attend for my friends wedding. Wondering if anybody familiar with the settings (exposure, flash and etc) suitable for the event? I imagine it will be just like most venues where the incandescent type of (yellow/orange) lights will play a major role in the lightings.

I will be packing only the 14-42mm lens along with the camera and 2 fully charged batteries which i think will be more than enough for my 3 days trip.

Reason why I am asking the question because I have not been using the camera for some time and I prefer the camera shall be able to work when I was there without excessive settings. Any advice and tips is very much appreciated.

TLDR: I need a foolproof method to turn m43 into a point and shoot camera.

*I understand people with different goals and diets in mind, therefore it is important that if you happened to be not a natural lifter (by my definition the natural limit should be protein powder and creatine), you should let your gym buddy knows. I am by no means bashing steroids user but given the state of cluelessness I find in the general population, if a total noob got paired with an amateur steroid bodybuilder, and that bodybuilder claims to be an all natural, this might impact that buddy as in encouraging him to be exposed to steroids use much earlier than he should without proper research or to the other extend causing him to rage quit simply because he cannot accept the limitation of his body. This does not mean you as a total noob can blame everyone else for your own failure, fitness is a lifestyle or a hobby, you are responsible to be mentally prepared and educate yourself before you decided to sign up for that gym membership

Figure I should try asking here since this is the only malaysian board that I know. I work in Brunei so I do my workouts mostly here and I go back to Miri once in a while during the weekends, would love to meet all sorts of different people, I'm up for any gym as long as it is not over rm10 per entrance.

I was once a student in APIIT, staying near Bukit Jalil, during the course of my study, i had experience with con-man and was cheated too. So now I think I will list out my encounters for those really fresh students that plan to study outstation.

Here goes my list:

Con Cases

(i) knocking on the door by some strangers in the apartment
solutions: do not answer, ask if anyone knows the visitor and then just ignore them, if they have business with you, they'd come back later
my experience: they came by and say they were the pest controller or smth, demanded us to open our door and let them do their job, whilst asking money from you, they even claim that your college aware of that and you could claim your receipt with them. I told them i dont have that much amoutn of money, i guess they asked for 200 by then, but they heard i said no money, they cut down to 60 eventually and i asked the housemate for part of the money, lol

(ii) scratch & win / whatever that you won a few thousand worth of prizes, refer to article in spoiler
solutions: ignore them, thoroughly, act as if they are invisible
my experience: i was handed in an envelope, which the lady says i won a car inside, I was really happy by then, then she requested me to follow her to her office, it was at night, in front of Endah Parade, Sri Petaling. hesitated, i rejected her offer, because I don't know what she would bring me to, she said something like" got car wor, you don't want meh?" she kept bothering me, and I want to go back but she keeps on blocking in front me asking me to follow her back to retrieve my prize. In the end, I was frustrated and I said "never mind, i give you the car". She was there the next day, until then the following days, new faces came by.

so my worst con case was the 60 bucks lost, that's shared among the housemate, i reported my issue to my college, nobody bother, and I think this is crucial for a fresh high school graduate to know when they plan to leave their home to study. Just don't trust anyone. I hope this thread is helpful.

(i) lost hand phone
I remember that time all my housemates were not in, I went swimming at night. The pool was empty and I place my stuff near the pool, my phone was wrapped inside my towel. there's one security came by, talked to me, and when i got up, my phone was gone. That was very scary as I was like lost contact with everyone, and nobody is at home, really desperate that time. Then I decided to go report to the police myself, so I took LRT to the police station beside sungai besi LRT station, it was near midnight and the LRT is closing. After I made the report, I was hoping maybe the policemen would send me home, as bukit jalil is just nearby, but the policemen asked " How you come here?"
"LRT" I said,
"How you go back?" the police
"I don't know." I said
"Aiya, you don't know how to go back then why you come report police? Never mind, i know a cab, I ask him send you home." the police
In the end, I paid $20 from sungai besi to bukit jalil trip.
That's how the police treat you when you think you lost something valuable and seek their help.

(ii)lost laptop
this story is short, I prepared my presentation for colleges in late night, and I went to sleep after, which I left the laptop on top of the table in the living room, morning I wake up, it's gone. Went to make a report in police station in the morning, this time with my friend's car. I was staying at the eight floor, and in the police station, I met someone, which is the same unit but 2 floors on top me also kena break-in, apparently the thief came in through the grill of the balcony of the apartment house.

I am planning on going to study in China after finishing my diploma as my father offered me to.

However, i have no idea of studying overseas, and also the culture back in China, food, and which places is a no go and everything.
I hope that I would have some help from people giving me tips on everything about studying in China. I do found some old threads about discussing study in China, but they were some real old thread, so i decided to open up a new one here and hope would get response from people all around to share their experiences.

My interests would be in engineering, science or math. I have good Chinese background since i was born to speak in Chinese language and never since changed, I went for Chinese private school so communciation shouldn't be a problem.
I wanted to know which city should I start from? Then which university you guys would recommend? Any links to anyone who has review of staying in China, lifestyle and everything do post up. I would like to know whether my syllabus would be taught in English or Chinese? It's preferably English as my main study language cause I'm getting used with all the English terms.

Im doing this Vb assignment, I have no idea what am i doing actually, and this is my first time to ever touch VB so bear with me if I have a lot that i don't understand.

The asssignment is split into 4 modules, customer profile, vcd maintenence, rent and return module and lastly reporting module.

I manage to get my customer profile done mostly but I encounter this problem,

I'm trying to save the date of birth of a customer from a dateTimePicker provided by VB itself into an ACCESS database(i only know how to use access), but I don't know how, and also later in the rent and return module i have to calculate the date difference, I need guidance on this part too, how to calculate the DAY difference between 2 dates, any help is very much appreciated.
