Hi,

Planning to visit the casino during CNY.

18yo Chinese this year but when I dress up, I look way older than 18yo(:

Heard they're not that strict? Can bribe RM50 to the guards?
Will sourvenir ID from other country work?

Law School in Australia/UK?

dwintersun — Thu, 21 Jun 2012 15:30:19 +0800

Hello everyone,

I just got my MUFY results (Total Score: 341) and I am eligible to apply for law school in Monash. May I know what are the options available to me? I am planning to do a 'pure LLB' and not those combined/double degree for law.

Any suggestions or recommendations with regard to law school in Australia/UK? (Not sure if UK uni would accept MUFY results)

I am aware that it will take 4 years to complete the degree while in UK, it will take around 3 years.

My subject combinations in MUFY include: English/Globalization/Geography/Economics. (I failed my Math Part A and I took ICT Part A which I score quite well)

Looking forward to hearing from you people!

Take care,

MUFY Score

Dear fellow lowyat members,

Results for MUFY 2011 Sem B:

English 82
Globalization 80
Geography 72
Economics 76
Math 26

Can anyone advise what kind of subjects should I be taking for next semester?

I need 330 to get into Law School but apparently with the above best 4 subjects .. it's only 330

I need help on what I should do? How do I use my marks to apply to other universities as they seem to have different criteria and marks (like they show: "85" for Arts and not 3XX/2XX for arts - in terms of calculations of final MUFY marks)

With the above results, is it good/above average/excellent? Should I drop MUFY and continue with my OSSD (Canadian edu) as I've got 22 credits already (studied in Canada before)

If i can't get into law.. I guess I'll have to take B.Psychology (Hon) or into Business (*but they all require maths ( )

Or should I return to Canada where their syllabuses are kind easy to score and to use my final OSSD results and apply for Oz uni?

Your kind help is greatly appreciated!

Good daY!

Can MUFY enter universities in Canada/UK?

dwintersun — Sat, 23 Jul 2011 18:57:58 +0800

Hey folks!

I need advise on the followings:

1. I'm taking: English/Math/Geog/ Economics / Globalisation as of now. Do you think this is a good combination and will allow me to score well ? (Apart from handwork and stuff.)

2. I'm in the midst of aiming for: University of Melbourne / University of B.Columbia / & universities in UK.

What are my chances of entering to the above with MUFY?

I'm planning to take Law / Business / Social Science / Psychology. (Order of preferences)

Many thanks for your replies!

Have a GREAT DAY ahead! (:

Canada or Australia? :(

Hi everyone!

I have a problem and I need your opinion. Your inputs are greatly appreciated.

I am currently studying in Ontario Canada (Grade 11) and will be graduating by next year (June'12).

However, my parents are thinking of transferring me to Australia to do Foundation Programs and I will most probably graduate from the Foundation Program by June 2012.

I have shortlisted the following foundation programs:

Monash Foundation Program (At Monash College , newly opened)

UNSW

University of Adelaide

ANU

As such, only Monash and UNSW interest me as they've my favourite subjects , humanities. (In Monash, I can take Standard but in UNSW I got to take the Extended Foundation Program.)

I am strong in humanities and 'still-can-make-it" in Sciences.

Also, I understand that Foundation Program is more catered to those who have already decided what they want to do in the near future.

I want to be a lawyer/doctor/psychologist and you most probably won't find me in Business/Engineering. (:

I am just wondering:

1) Which foundation program offers a better chance of entry to law/med?

2) Which is better? (Overall, in the sense of teaching/living/expenses/students/etc)

Kindly offer your advise.

Thanks a lot !
