Difference between treatments in Gov vs Private

I would like to understand what is the difference between getting treated at government vs private hospital besides the long waiting time.
I am more concerned about the reliability of doctors in these institutions. Is it possible to get the same kind of quality of treatment in both kinds of hospitals?
Has anyone experienced disatisfactory treatments in private hospitals and got better at government?

Thanks

home camera recommendations

Hi, I am looking to place home camera for 3 areas, living room, room and kitchen.

Any recommendations with reasonable prices and easy setup?
I have no experience using such things before and would also appreciate to know how to setup and whether can monitor from anywhere including overseas.
how will the camera log the videos, will it be in a card reader that needs to be deleted every time or does it just go to the cloud.

thank you.

Feel Cheated by Broadband Installation

Hi, I have been using Maxis Broadband 30Mbps for the past 2 years and when the installer came to my place 2 years ago, they setted up my router and selected 2G connection. Now after 2 years I opted to install Maxis fibre and now the Maxis guy tells me that all this while I could have used the 5G connection which I never knew about and did not get around seeing this option myself as I was overseas and only my parents were around.

Now I wish to know how can a I make a complaint about this as obviously I was not given the correct information and was deprived from being able to use the services that I am entitled to. When I did a speed test there is definitely a huge difference between the speed I was able to get with 2g vs 5g!

any suggestions are much appreciated.

How to go to Wisma Putra during Lockdown?

Hi all,

I need to go to Wisma Putra to attest some documents but with the current MPKP situation, how is this handled if a person is coming from a different district? They also say that they can only allow 60 people a day without any appointment needed, what if there are more than 60 people there? will they send people back home? Does anyone have any experience going to Wisma Putra recently?
Thank you.

Hi all,

I need some advice about cabutan sijil kelahiran online. I tried to fill in the application form on the JPN website but I get a status of Tidak Berjaya at the end. Has this happened to anyone?
I am currently overseas and I need my birth certificate for official purposes. What is the fastest way to get it if I cant do it online?
Can I ask my parents to go to any JPN office nearby where they live to get it on my behalf?
Also is the current birth certs in English or only Malay?

Thank you.

Grab app automatically closes

Hi.

I am trying to fix the Grab app on my mothers ASUS Zenfone. It started to behave weirdly only recently and I cannot think of any changes made in her phone itself other than a change in the internet connection which is upgraded to a faster speed now. All her other apps are working fine except for Grab. What I have done already is as below:

1. Uninstall/Reinstall app
2. Off/On phone
3. Set to airplane mode for a while then test again
4. Clear data and cache

She also had a separate GrabFood App but she does not need that app now so I uninstalled it. Thinking that uninstalling that app could have caused these crashes, i reinstalled it back but the Grab app itself again closes as soon as I turn it on.

Would appreciate to know if anyone else has experienced this problem before and what else can I do to resolve it.

Keratin Treatment in KL

Hi,

I have done keratin treatment at least twice now and it lasts for about 4 to 5 months at least.

I wish to know 2 things:

1. Where is a good place to get Keratin treatment at a good price in KL and how much does it usually cost say for shoulder length. What products do they use?

2. If you have done keratin before, what products are you using to care for your hair. I sometimes need to straighten my hair every week when my hair starts to curl again.

Hi all,

Need some advice here. i think this is a common problem but as this has never happened to me before so i would appreciate some guidance as a landlord. I have been chasing my tenant to pay their rent every month and now they have not paid the rent for 2 months. i have decided to lock them out of their apartment until they pay the outstanding amount as they have also incurred considerable damage to my house. my agent is being unresponsive to this situation now and i am left to handle this problem on my own. Anyone else faced the same issue or can help to advise what i need to do next?

thank you.

Help: Certifying Documents for Overseas University

Hi all,

I need to be enlightened on the need to get copies of certificates that have already been certified as true copy by a Notary Public to be endorsed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the purpose of applying to university overseas.

Is this really needed?? My documents consist of academic transcripts and some professional related documents so I wonder if I still need to get the already certified true copies to be further endorsed by the ministry..

your advice on this is much appreciated!

Loan Redemption Sum

Hi all,

Hope to get some insight into this. I have been renting this property and have recently decided to buy it over from the owner. The owner still had balance loan to pay and I have applied for a loan as well to buy over.. now the legal process has settled and I received a letter from the bank about two months ago saying that the redemption loan has been released and that the interest rate will appear in the next statement. I was puzzled by this as I was still paying the rent and I did highlight it to my lawyer whether I should still be paying rent since the sellers loan balance has been released and I was advised to continue paying rent until the full disbursement is made.. so now it is the second month and I am getting another statement of interest charged to the first drawdown while still paying rent.

so my question is why do i need to start paying interest when the full loan sum has not been released?
why do i still need to pay rent when the redemption sum has been released to the sellers bank?

has anyone else been through this same situation before?

Thanks

Owners Not Paying Maintenance Fee

I am interested to know what does the JMB of your condo do when they are faced with stubborn, stingy and inconsiderate owners not wanting to pay up outstanding maintenance fees?

it is the responsibility of every owner to pay your maintenance fee as promptly as possible. why is it so hard when nowadays you can even bank in the fee?
the management at the condo where im living have tirelessly reminded owners to pay the fee and they seem to be so inconsiderate even when their names are published on the board! Now TNB has cut the electricity supply to the condo and people are not able to use the lifts as well. It is so unfair to punish people who are promptly paying their fees just because of some of these super inconsiderate and stingy owners!! why buy a property if you cant afford paying for it to be maintained!

For those of you reading this post and who is an owner of a condo/apartment unit, I really do hope that you are paying up your fees especially if you are renting out your unit, it doesn't mean that you can ignore and be so inconsiderate of the well being of others in the place you own and be warned that any bad impression on your property can effect buyers interest.. especially in today's economic climate, you can dream on to try to sell your property if you are contributing towards its bad upkeep.

Renovation Tips - Where to Get What

After months of looking around, I wish to share with you my experience and hope it helps you with your home renovation needs. It is not easy to keep surveying around for the best deals in town and sometimes you end up paying more than what you should. Note that these tips are also for those who are on looking for moderately priced items but nice looking.

1. Lights/Fans
a. Houses of Lighting, Puchong, Jln BFU 6, Puchong Utama
b. Silver Star Lighting - The 19 USJ City Mall - 2nd Floor

2. Electrical
- This depends, I went to Courts as they had promotion but I am kinda regretting it now because the way they make the orders is dependant on stock availability, I don't know when I will get my electrical items from them!
- HLK

3. Furniture
- Don't be fooled by the prices you see online. I just bought a sofa set for much lesser than this other shop which is simply famous for it's name, hunt for newly opened shops where you can easily get a bargain. Shops I can recommend for now is Havanna Deco, Your Home both along Ampang Waterfront.

4. Sink - double sink bowl shouldn't cost any more that 180.
5. Clothes Hanger - 6ft expandable type - shouldn't cost any more that 150

6. for 20k below are the things you can do for renovation
- kitchen cabinet with L-Shape - open concept
- airconds in 4 areas plus casing work
- shower screen in two bathrooms
- light installation - for about 20 lights
- bathroom accessories - 2x cabinet, 2x towel rack, 2x tissue holder, 2 times glass holder, 2 times side rack
- water heater installation
- partitioning
etc

Unfortunately with this contractor we had, he disappointed us with the aircond job as the casing work done was messy and did not include boxing. Please ensure your contractor does not compromise with the casing work and for the price you are paying them, make sure they do the right job!

7. Curtains
- Go to Maju Home in Setapak, the lady there does a good job and price is quite reasonable.
- alternatively go to Kamdar but i was put off by the worker there who refused to give me a copy of the quotation.

- I am not a fan on IKEA but you can get nice basic stuff from there, like dustbins, floor mat, wall pics, kitchen utensils.

Okay, I guess that's about it. Hope this helps and happy shopping!

My friend had a very bad experience applying a job with the company! I don't know what kind of corrupted leader is leading these colleges and I bet the quality of education provided by this colleger is very sub standard. My friend was offered a job here and resigned from the previous job after the offer has been made but this unscrupulous company cheated on the offer and did not give any reasons! The HR department is useless and unprofessional. Did not even have the courtesy to inform about what is happening and why. I hope nobody else will fall into this kind of trap and by all means do not end up working with companies like these who are led by dictators and corrupted management.
