car stolen, how do I get back my carplate

Hi guys, my car was stolen years back, and it was a nice car plate.

Is it possible to get back my car plate?

Recently I bought a new car and I wish to get back the car plate again, so I asked the car reg runner,
this is his response:

"if insurance company already paid for you, maybe can try appeal with them but low chance and have to submit a lot of documents."

Which I am quite confused, why is it something to do with insurance company, I mean car plate shouldn't even belong to them right even if they disbursed my claim?

Doesn't that mean they stand to make a huge profit if lets say a car with VV 1, got stolen, and insurance company get to resell that car plate?

I also check this on google,

https://www.jpj.gov.my/en/web/main-site/und...stration-number

In accordance with the amendments to the Road Transport Act 1987, vehicle owners can reuse the registration number registered on vehicles that has been reported lost or stolen.

Reuse of Vehicle Registration Number Application Form.

Required documents:

1. A copy of the Application Form Reuse Vehicle Registration Number Who Have Lost Or Stolen [JPJK13 (pind.1.2011)] that have been completed; and

2. A copy of the police report on the missing vehicle.

Before I proceed to JPJ, do anyone have similar experience?

Tropicana Hills - Dijaya's USJ3 Mix Development

PETALING JAYA (Feb 10): Dijaya Corp Bhd plans to launch products in at least two of its new mixed development projects in the Klang Valley this year.

One of the mixed developments is Tropicana Gardens located in its 400-acre (161.8ha) Tropicana Indah development in Petaling Jaya, managing director Datuk Tong Kien Onn said.

Tropicana Gardens has a gross development value (GDV) of RM1.8 billion and will take up 14 acres of a total land area of 17 acres. Tong said the remaining three acres will be left for future development.

The product components of Tropicana Gardens will include serviced apartments, hotel, office and retail.

The developer is looking at having the first launch in the third quarter, Tong said on the sidelines of the group's annual luncheon on Thursday, where a total of RM225,000 was donated to 15 charities by the Dijaya Tropicana Foundation. Dijaya group CEO Tan Sri Danny Tan made the presentations.

Scheduled for launch in the second half of the year is a project in USJ 3, Subang Jaya called Tropicana Hills. Located close to the Federal Highway, it will be a mixed development with a GDV of RM3.5 billion on 88 acres.

Tong said the project will include a school, hospital, hotel, condominiums and serviced apartments.

"At the moment, we are in the process of converting the land status from industrial to commercial," he said.

"It is flat land and there is discussion with the authorities to build a ramp from the Federal Highway to Tropicana Hills for better accessibility."

Meanwhile, Dijaya is launching exclusive zero-lot bungalows in the Tropicana Indah development dubbed Golf Villas by early March.

"There are only 12 units of 3-storey zero-lot bungalows. The Golf Villas are situated within Tropicana Indah project in Petaling Jaya," Tong said.

The villas have a GDV of RM64 million. Prices start from RM4.8 million with average built-ups of over 7,000 sq ft.

In the past 1½ years, the group has been aggressively acquiring land. Pre-2010, the group only had 142 acres in its landbank but post-2010, Dijaya acquired 668 acres in Peninsular Malaysia for a current total of 810 acres. The total GDV of its landbank now amounts to about RM28 billion.

One recent purchase was 198 acres in Kajang, which Dijaya bought for RM228 million last September. It has a GDV of RM2 billion and Tong said the group is currently looking into rezoning the land from recreation to mixed-commercial and residential. The project is still in the planning stages.

MBSB Gains Access to CCRIS

MBSB gains access to CCRIS data

KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Negara has granted permission for Malaysia Building Society Bhd (MBSB) to participate in its Central Credit Reference Information System (CCRIS) effective this month.

CCRIS is an online system that houses borrowers’ credit information as collected by the central bank’s credit bureau department from participating lending institutions.

This information is then furnished back to the institutions to assist them in making informed decisions on credit applications.

MBSB CEO Datuk Ahmad Zaini Othman said in a statement yesterday that “to be included in CCRIS bodes well with the good intentions of the central bank’s new guidelines on responsible finance and most importantly, will help to strengthen MBSB’s credit risk management.”

He said MBSB would also be able to realise its corporate objectives, especially in assessing and approving good quality loans, which was at par with the practice of other leading financial institutions.

The participating lending institutions currently include commercial banks, Islamic banks, financial companies, merchant banks and rehabilitation institutions.

Moving forward, MBSB plans to continue its growth in retail loan assets via personal financing and home mortgage products. It will also be introducing new retail product, the auto finance in February.

MBSB has been diversifying its loan portfolio for both retail and corporate segments in the last two years, in line with its transformation programme “Taking MBSB To The Next Level”.

The company shall continue to capitalise on its strengths as a small financial institution in comparison to its peers to compete in a highly competitive environment.

From The Star Business Section 10/01/2012

Bandar Tun Razak redevelopment by SP Setia

PUTRAJAYA: S P Setia Bhd will redevelop the Sri Johor, Sri Pulau Pinang and Sri Melaka low cost apartments and the Taman Ikan Emas low cost homes in Bandar Tun Razak, Cheras in Kuala Lumpur at a total development value of RM2.8 billion.

S P Setia's Deputy President & Chief Operating Officer Datuk Voon Tin Yow said the first phase of the project would take off next month.

He said this at a press conference after a meeting on June 3 with Federal Territories and Urban Wellbeing Minister Datuk Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin on the proposal to rebuild the housing area.

Nong Chik said the first phase of the project will involve the development of affordable, quality homes totalling 1,255 units. This would be completed in three years.

He said S P Setia would also undertake an apartment housing project in the area for young executives with each unit to cost not more than RM300,000 and with a built-up area of at least 800 ft.

The decision to build quality, affordable homes in the area was made in view of the housing area which has been rundown. The area will be modernised with well-appointed homes as well as public facilities and improved landscaping.

Under the second phase, Nong Chik said the housing developer will also develop a commercial and residential centre which will take between 14 and 15 years in the 53.4-hectare area.

On the number of housing units to be built, Voon said this has not been decided yet as it will be concentrating on the first phase. - Bernama

SP Setia is on steroids really ...
This will be near viva homes / sunway velocity area
