Latio suspension problems

I just got myself a 2nd hand latio sedan of 4 years...

I can feel the shock absorber is not at its best shape. after all its already 4 years, went to workshop for check up they told me it seems ok. the symptoms are bumps can be felt quite hard on.... example when I was driving on bridges the connection part can be felt hardly as if there is no cushioning.

it just feels roughly like my old kelisa but of course we cannot compare kelisa's type of absorber vs latio rite? I'm just wondering is this normal even for new latio car? or is this the standard latio absorber feeling.

one more thing if I wanna replace those absorbers to new stock ones would it make any difference? or would those after market absorber make my ride smoother? I would love to have comfortable ride don't wanna have hard bumps all over.... pls advise our fellow experts. some recommendations pls..

thanks

Where to start for Mobile App Programming ?

Hi guys,

I have interest in doing programs for mobile applications like Symbian, Android or others...
Previously I've studied C Programming, but nothing on Object Oriented. Just quite basic on the surface. I still remember part of it though.

I wanna know how do I start from here ?? or which type of programming language I need to learn to better serve my purpose here ?
Or any websites / reference can point me to ?

Minimum Graphics Requirement for BluRAy

I have an old PC lying around, specs are not high AMD Sempron with PCI-E slot.

I'm wondering if I can just plug in a ATI HD 4350 graphics card to play blu-ray, mkv, 720p, 1080p files ?

The graphics card is priced at RM 125, specs : 512MB, DDR2, 64-bit PCI-E interface.

Base on my simply read-up, can I summarize that most of the PCI-E card can be able to play Blu-Ray Disc / Files ?

I have a rather simply audio setup, I do not require those 8 Channel LPM, or HD-Audio,
just running a simple 2.1 speaker. any DTS system sound is sufficient for my future upgrade of 5.1.
HDMI audio pass thru is thus not needed.

Or if possible can anyone recommend the lowest spec graphics card / cheapest I can get to play those files ?

I have a Sonic Gear 2.1 speaker. Well it's not an expensive one. Around RM 100.
bought it quite sometime but only used few times... then never switch it on for many months.

Now I wired it up to my TV, found a disturbing HIssing sound intermittently ..
sometimes have and sometimes don't have.
Sometimes I get near at the subwoofer I also hear those distorted sounds coming out from the sub.
Is there something wrong already or anything I can do ?

How do I get rid of the sound ?

connect from LCD to External Speakers

I'm using panasonic 32" X series LCD TV. I wanna connect it to external speakers set.

Currently testing out with those cheap 2.1 PC speaker system. I connect a 3.5mm - RCA cable (white, red) to the speaker and to the Output Monitor of the TV.

I found out that using this method the volume of the speaker is on controllable on the speaker system, not on the TV. And the TV volume I would have to mute it or put it to '0'.

Any other better way of doing it so that I can control the volume using the TV remote and set a fixed volume on my speaker set ??

anyone have same kind of scenario here ??

I have a problem here...

I have a good eye sight. no problem so far and no spectacles...

Lately I was reading a lot on mobile phone. using it very frequently ..
and I found that after maybe 1 hour of using it on and off... my eyes would get tired.. and a little of blur vision.
but it recovers after i stop reading on it..

but currently I got blur visions after reading a few sms and replying on it ...

Is there some problem with my eyes... that was caused by the phone LCD screen ?

anyone of you got this same kind of problem ? is the LCD screen not suitable even for long duration of reading on it ?

Recommend a 32" LCD TV ...

I'm looking for a 32" LCD TV to replace my current 21" CRT.

I'm new to this LCD TV choosing .... read some threads here.. many appears to be going to the higher ends like 42" and plasma..
Would like to be enlightened on the general differences of those LCD brands and what's best.

My criteria are as below :
- Price Around RM 1500
- Best for Astro video inputs, DVD. Not into Pc connection / gaming (Mainly parents watching astro only)
- 32" preferred.. Living room area is not too big.

Would like to hear feedbacks on the pricing and place to buy. Me staying in Klang. ..
and any recommendation for brands particularly good for astro inputs.. since everyone is saying astro looks bad on LCD TV ..
I myself always believe that 29" CRT would show astro better than LCD TV anytime ... am I right ?
But since we are moving ahead .. i think there's no point to stick with CRT .

About buying 2nd hand stuffs

Just doing a general survey .. I haven't done any 2nd hand mobile purchase yet.. Wanna ask if it's better to buy it from shop like in LOw Yat plaza .. or better buy it here in forum ? Or course the main thing that matters is the price.. but how about do they give warranty for 2nd hand sets in shop and the quality of the handsets ?

HOw does the price compares from shop and also from forumer ? is it very much higher ??

please share your experience

Hard drive suddenly powers down

I have a repetitive problem.. of hard drives. My PC specs as below :

- AMD Sempron Socket 754
- Gigabyte mainboard
- 4 hard drives : 2 x 250GB WD, 1 x 500GB WD, 1 x 750GB Seagate
- PSU Powerlogic Magnum 450W
- 1 x DVDRW

The seagate drive is the latest one. When I first installed on my PC, one of the 500GB wouldn't get detected. It works fine without it and when I unplug the 750, the 500 gets back working fine.

Then I just ignored the 500GB and plug it out for a period, not using it. So it came to running 3 HDDs. This time, the 750 was put outside the casing with heatsinks above it. Noticed that, when running heavy access on the drive... suddenly it powers down and restarts... in windows it would show as if the SATA drive was suddenly unplugged and then replugged... it would get detected fine after that but whatever I didn't save is gone. It does power off a few times even though it's not as heavily used as before.

So I was thinking if it's a power problem. where I do not have enough power to run so many devices. Now, I put the 750GB on it's own power supply (Old AT power supply with manual ON button) with only 1 device operating. I ran it today .. and so far it happened once, when I was heavily accessing the drive. I was accessing it together with another PC networked together with loads of heavy reading/writing.

So I ran out of idea now. Is it a problem of hard drive or ??? I never had problems with my old WD drives.... I monitored the temperatures.. and the Seagate 750 is the coolest as it's outside the casing with heatsink on top. what else. ?

help !!
