Battery : yes (faulty also as now can only store up to ~20%)

Age of item: 4years
Problem: Motherboard. The laptop can turn on but then it will hang after use for awhile (the uptime is random, sometimes can last for more than 1 hour, sometimes just few minutes)
Have repair before or no ? yes, i tried to repair by myself by disassembling the laptop, cleanup the dust, apply the thermal paste. but the problem still remaining the same

can any expert pls advice if i send this laptop to repair, how much does it cost?
and after repair, how long can it last?

trade in altis with new elantra

i bought the altis dual-vvti in 2010, now loan still left about 85k.
if i trade in altis for new elantra 1.8, how much i need to fork out for down payment?

is it worthy to do so as seems like no upgrade....

is my refinance package worthy?

Cons: another 5 years lock-in period

Lock-in period going to end coming Sep 2012. Should i accept this offer?

AIA insurance doubt

Hi All,

Today I met with one AIA Insurance agent to buy the insurance for my new born baby who is 2 months old. Below is the basic info of the insurance:

Premium: RM165 / month
Life / TDP: RM50k
36 critical illness: RM50k
Medical: board RM150 / day, RM80k annual limit, unlimited life limit

But I have doubt when she told about the saving / cash value of this insurance. She showed me a list of cash value per year:

20 yrs: RM43k+
40 yrs: RM230k+
70 yrs: RM1.7M (wow...)

She said the premium I paid is only charged for the first 6 yrs and the rate will be reduced by yr. On 7th yr onward the full premium will actually going to the saving thus it appreciates such high cash value.

But I count myself:

20 yrs: 20 x 12 x RM165 = RM39.6k
40 yrs: 40 x 12 x RM165 = RM79.2k
70 yrs: 70 x 12 x RM165 = RM138.6k (with 138k you can get back 1.7M, how could this be, this return is so unreal even taking the interest into account)

She said I can withdraw the money as long as there is minimum RM1k left on the account.
But I really cannot understand how can AIA give out such big amount to customers?? Nowadays many able to survive to age 70, then thus it mean my son will become millionaire on that time then? But most probably I will not be here anymore to witness this.

So can anyone please clarify if you know this AIA product? Is it really offer such good cash value provided with insurance coverage?

it is located arnd 5km from Nottingham Uni -> from nottingham uni go toward the broga hill, going further for arnd 2~3km after passed broga hill and then turn left.
