Creating a user created content site frontend

Hi, I’m no developer and only have simple html css and js knowledge. I can create Wordpress blog and able to handle basic vps stuff.

I wanted to make a new website that cater to user created content, like article, short story etc. I need to have webpage, authentication, permission, custom taxonomy and rich / markdown text input. I hope it would be a community driven content. Let’s just say I’m into web novel like content.

I’ve been reading and testing directus on my local machine. I think this is suitable for me. But having zero knowledge as developer is a challenge. Everything I found on YouTube is about how to use directus backend but not how to develop frontend ( or maybe I can’t wrap my head around the idea of framework and api, I missed it)

So can someone please guide me. If I already had directus, what should I focus next? I don’t need a fancy ui, just enough div / row to call data from my cms. Fancy things can come later.

Example:
front page, top news, list of recommendations articles + images (truncated), row of latest submission (snippet ), universal header / footer.

Login page (new user)

Article or story rank , weekly, monthly, by genre etc.

TOS / faq / about

Right now I don’t have any idea how to move forward. Is it really that hard to create frontend or if I can cross the first hurdle everything else fall into pieces ?

Btw, this is not a priority, I have other priority on my other art project. Also I’m in no way can afford to hire a dev.

Questions about US 30% withholding tax and IRS tre

Hi.

I'm currently with a programme which I get paid small royalties from US company on monthly basis. However all my royalties are subject to 30% withholding tax.

I read somewhere that non US resident can get lower tax withholding if there's a treaty between IRS and the country of the participant (in this case is Me - Malaysia). However in IRS there's no mention of Malaysia having such treaties with US.. https://www.irs.gov/businesses/internationa...treaties-a-to-z

1. So that means there's no chance of lowering the withholding tax?

2. Many resource also mention registering with IRS to get EIN number and be eligible for lower tax withholding. However since there's no treaty with Malaysia will this EIN register considered as moot?

I hope someone with experience can help or show me to the right directions. Thanks in advance

DIY projector screen material help

Hi guys,

recently I got myself an old NEC projector, cheap secondhand. It got native resolution 1024 x 768, 2100 lumen and optimal screen up to 80". I check the settings and found out it had around 1000 hours or so left in normal mode.

I'm just projecting it on my wall and got around 70" of projected images. However I'm not quite happy with the dull color and brightness reproduction. I've been reading aroundabout screens on the net but haven't quite got it yet.

so the question is:

1) Is there any good material I can use as screen? I'm thinking of using vinyl(?) used for large format printer (my fren can supply me for RM70)

2) If I'm going to paint my wall? what color / pigment / material should I use for optimal color reproduction?

My primary focus is playing movie / anime maybe 6-8 hour per week, just amongst friends. also bajet kurang so the cost should be minimal.

I have an old forum, average user, 1000+ posting but not that active, mostly targeted Malaysians

but the bandwidth is not normal, I mean when I looked at awstats, almost half the bandwidth is from south korea?

is this legit?

what can I do with .htaccess to manage this?

Anyone here having problem accessing netherland / amsterdam hosted website? ie usenet search engine, rlslog.net etc etc?

I'm in 219.xx range BTW.

I got problem accessing them since 2-3 days ago, just like that .. like they never exist before..

I'm using proxy to access them but very limited speed.

I used to work work with a friend as a silkscreen film designer (for t-shirts). I never really care how much he pay me before since he let me use his facility & I can do many freelance job.

I always wanted to know real rate in charging for logo separation in open market.

Let's say something like this:
