Recommend a laptop repair shop

Hi all, I need to repair an old DELL notebook...warranty over ady coz its quite old. Don't wanna send back to DELL because they might overcharge. I think only the HDD and USB ports are not working...does anyone know a good shop that can repair laptops?

Fuel Saver / Power increasing products discussion

I'm creating this thread to collect information on any Fuel Saver or Power Increasing products (or if you wanna call it gimmic) whether it works or not. Or if its giving a different side-effect. This thread is not to promote those products, but rather to avoid those which do not work as said in their brochures. And to find out what it really does to your engine.

You can share experience on any products like air filter, grounding cables...anything!

I guess I'll start first. Since getting my car a year ago, I've tried two types of fuel saver product. A magnetic fuel saver and a fuel-addictive. There was no brand on the magnetic fuel saver...just said USA brand. Bought it from a trader here in LYN for RM88. I don't think I need to explain how it works...but its fitted to the fuel pipe in the engine area. On the first try I did save a bit of fuel, but since the 2nd tank...my mileage was exactly the same as before I bought it. However, I do experience a smoother ride since I installed it...so I decided to leave it be.

Pros: Increases power (small), more smooth acceleration
Cons: doesn't save much fuel...

Next, I tried this fuel-addictive (again, sorry no pic. Later upload) and it seems to work. Only RM15 for 5 bottles...cheap to me. I didn't have to add during every fill-up...only used it once and its still giving me back some mileage. I was told it "cleans the fuel pipes" or somethin. I'd recommend using this product...still have the 4 bottles kept at home coz its not needed yet.

Pros: does what it says - save fuel (small), cheap to buy
Cons: nothing

And yesterday my uncle gave me some tablets. No, not drugs Its called FFI (Fuel "somethin" Independence). Supposed to help burn the fuel better, giving your car a bit more power when needed. Have yet to try this thing...will update on the next fill-up. The back of the packet says MPG-CAPS. I heard the tablets are selling at about RM6 per pill but you only need half a tablet during each fill-up.

How to change back video color settings?

I was trying to do some setup on my graphics card to improve the graphics but changed my mind after finding out that the settings was already optimum. So I closed the window without doing any changes. But for some reason...my video color settings was changed now the colors are really off and its too dark. Even with the video settings option on Windows Media Player, I can't seem to get the right settings back and its a hassle to do the settings everytime I play a video clip. Can someone help me change back the settings back to what it used to be?

PSP Slim or old school PSP?

I'm creating this thread as a guide for those who are considering of getting a PSP at the moment and could not decide on which PSP to go for...like me

All I know about the new slim PSP is that its slimmer by a few mm, has TV-Out, and a new mainboard which may be hard to crack for all those copy gamers out there. Can anyone else share a light on this issue? Picking between slim or old PSP I mean.

Internet not uploading anything

Can someone help me? My internet connection is having problems uploading anything. Problem all started after I turned on VPN (haven't used it in a while). A day before that, my upload and surfing was still ok but now I can't even surf properly. Is there some settings I can reset or change to get my upload speed back?

Half-Life 1 storyline

I just started playing Half Life 2: Episode 1 today and I'm very confused about the storyline. The game started off with an explosion and a few aliens saving the heroine's life. I didn't play Half Life 1 in the past, so I don't know what happened. Can someone just briefly tell me what happened in HL1 for me to enjoy HL2 better?

All I know about HL1 is that you play a scientist that is invited into a company doing some weird experiments until something bad happens. Other than that, I don't know much...oh ya, I'm really loving the gravity gun did that appear in the first installment?

I'm using an AMD X2 3600+, MSI K9N Neo mainboard and GeCube ATI Radeon X1550. Everytime I start the computer, it gives me an error saying it failed to load nvcpl.dll and moments later, sw20.exe crashes...whatever that means. Can anyone help me? I can download the nvcpl.dll from the net but got no idea where to put it

HELP - PC not working after changing FSB speed!

need help here. My pc suddenly stopped functioning after I changed the FSB on the CMOS from 133 to 166 (it says max can go up to 280) Now the computer doesn't function at all...not even enough to go back to CMOS and change back the setup. I'm using this Budget Diary for my PPC and my friend wants to have it on his PDA Phone also. But after installing...or was it during installing...it says the software was not meant for that PDA Phone. How different are PDA and PDA Phones? Aren't they using the same OS?

Btw, I'm using HP and my friend's using Dopod

Does anyone else know a software similar to Budget Diary for the PDA Phone?
