[WTA] GPS Phone vs GPS

Hi, I'm currently still scratching head for these two options as I would need a GPS system when traveling on a bike. My main considerations are budget, offline usage and battery consumption. Would not able to charge the phone/GPS with my bicycle and wish to avoid data usage.

I'm hoping to get some user review or experience on this to see what's the best option.

I'm considering to get Nokia lumia 520, since most of the Nokia phone has built in GPS that can go data-less and this model seems to be the cheapest Nokia model I can go for, less than rm400 (new) or 200 plus for an used model. Or any better option?

Back to GPS, I'm not really sure on GPS battery consumption vs phone GPS battery consumption, somebody mind to point out? I mostly rely on waze when I'm in the country and there is always car charger to charge the phone which is not a problem for its battery consumption.

Cricket noises from the processor fan

Hi,
I'm currently facing with the cricket noises from my processor after my pc is on for about 3mins time.
At first I thought is the dust around the fan, but after i've cleaned it, the noise is still there. Tried to stop the fan near heatsink (if I don't get the name wrong), the noises gone. but I'm not sure whats the problem with it now.
anyone mind to help? I've tried to googled around, but nothing help to stop this.
My pc is about half year old, it's still in new state.

[Recommendation] PC for 3D rendering purpose

hi all, i would like to get some opinions / clues on the gear that i'm planning to get soon as my knowledge to the hardware consider shallow. some good recommendations would help much with the purchase.

Purpose: 3d rendering (3ds max, Adobe Design software etc) - doing design
Budget : 3.5k - 4k

I have heard of the graphic card that is mainly focusing on rendering but some said it has no big difference compare to the normal gaming gc, anyone?
Anyway, the gear need to have good cooling / ventilation / casing as I might need to turn the pc for 24hours for rendering purpose. and consider to run it on 64bit platform.

when i start up 3dx max, i get an error pop up msg telling me that "DxDDS.bmi failed to initialize" and the viewport shown with my desktop as its background.

im running on Pentium D 3.4 , nvidia 7600gs, wins xp

i've tried to install n reinstall the software, but still the same prob occurred
