Hi everyone!

Just thought of starting a thread to create a community for entrepreneurs. I know there is an existing Small Medium Business thread for people to share their business experience, but I think this forum could use a more general entrepreneurial community! To share ideas and experiences and to network as well!

I will start with a brief introduction on myself! I'm in my mid 20-s and am working in the corporate world. However, I feel the need to do more than what I am doing now. I have a degree in Finance but am learning coding on my free time to equip myself with the skills to start something on the side. Appreciate advise, sharing of experiences from all the experienced entrepreneurs out there and appreciate ideas from aspiring entrepreneurs like myself too!

Just to start off with a question to generate some discussion. Do you guys think coding is a prerequisite to start an online start-up? Or would outsourcing work just as well?

Happy discussing!

Buying a business

Dear esteemed forumers,

Am in need of a little advice. I am actively looking to acquire a small business. Am curious if there are any1 here who have been through the whole process of acquiring a small business. What is the process like and what should I look out for during my due diligence. Should I get professional help or would it suffice if I go through the financials and existing supplier/customer agreements myself.

Thanks

How/Where do you buy or sell your business

Hi guys,

For those of you that have bought over or sold a business, I am just wondering where do you guys find your buyers or sellers?

Would the transactions be reliant on your business network? Or does anyone actually use these online listings of businesses for sale?

Cheers
