Time machine everything or reinstall all apps ?

Bros, i just bought a new mac. is it recommended to just time machine transfer everything from our old mac, or
just time machine the important files, and then reinstall all the softwares app etc?

a friend told me that if u just time machine everything to new mac, is will affect performance?

need your word of advice on this bros

Late 2013 MacBook pro 15 retina screen problem

I just purchased a new 15 inch MacBook pro with retina
And on the first day using, already experiencing image retention and ghosting.

Just sent back to apple reseller for replacement and after doing some reading, the new model's screen is problematic?

Want to ask for some advice, what if the replacement unit also has the same problem?
