Advice on IT career

Hi, I'm a degree IT holder which had about 1 year ++ of working experience in network field. However, I'm wish to go in depth on IT security field, as I'm still having the basic skills of cyber security knowledge and higher interest on it.

Here comes the question, should I acquire the security certification something like CEH/ECSA/GSEC/GCIH/GCIA/CISSP ? As I know some of these cert require certain years of working experience. At this moment, is it valuable for me to invest such time for these cert to improve myself on IT market ? Or I should just start working on security job to gain some working experience first ?

As you guys know the economy of Malaysia is getting worse and we are getting harder to survive. There is no more time to lepak around and waste time by choosing the wrong path.

Therefore every decision is important to achieve a better living standard. Hope any senpai can advise me. Share your thought.
