!HELP WITH PC UPGRADE!

First of all, glad to see the forum still thriving and alive,with familiar admins and mods still active.I need help with upgrade for my PC:

1) So to be short,this is my setup, bought back in 2012:

i) CPU: Intel i5-3550 CPU @ 3.30Ghz
ii) GPU: Nvidia GTX 680
iii) RAM: Kingston 8GB
iv) SSD: Intel SSD 120 GB (main)
v) HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB (secondary)
vi) Mobo: Gigabyte Z77M-D3H
vii) PSU: Corsair Professional Series 750W GOLD
viii) Case: Corsair Vengeance C70
ix) Monitor: Dell U2312HM 23"
x) OS: Windows 7 Professional Edition

2) Since late last year,my PC started lagging after serving me well for a good 8 years, considering with apps getting faster updates and taking larger space.Thus,i'm considering an upgrade entering 2020.

3) I, however want to salvage a few parts,as they are not broken and still usable. Those that i'm keeping are ; SSD (iv) HDD (v) PSU (vii) Case (viii) & Monitor (ix)

4) I also made some r&r (research & reading),and snapped a few parts since it was on year end sale late last December. New parts i already bought:

a) CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
b) RAM: Trident Z DDR4 8GBx2 3600 Mhz
c) SSD: Adata XPG SX8200 Pro
d) Mobo: MSI B450 Tomahawk Max

5) It's been quite a while since i build a PC,thus my question is :

- I need a recommendation or advice on GPU that suits my monitor since new GPUs have different ports. Should i get a new monitor and turn (ix) into a secondary display?

- If i'm going for 1080p resolution,should i go for 5600 XT (Bios issues) , 1660 TI (underperformed)or RTX 2060 (Compatibility?).I'd appreciate if u can recommend model that can fit my Case (viii).Max budget is 2.2k

- If i go for any of the 3 GPU above, will my PSU (vii) still able to support the power load?

- With all the new parts i've bought in 4), Can i still accomodate slots and spaces for my old parts in 3) ?

Hello fellas,

I am considering of buying from AliExpress as there were a few items sold there that caught my attention.This is my first time with the website,as i've never bought anything previously from there before.However,there are a few

concerns surrounding me, as to the trustworthiness of the suppliers,the regulations on online transactions and also the customs duty when the goods arrive on our shores.As starters,I joined their forum of people who usually do

trades on AliExpress, and it horrifies me on how many complaints were lodged towards the suppliers on the website.Cases like undelivered goods,untreated disputes,and also unrefunded payments when goods were not received

are common among the community.Furthermore,their policy on shioment & delivery is quite dubious,as u need to confirm order is received while it's still yet to arrive at the designated adress (still under delivery).

However,the website is using a payment system called Escrow,as they claimed it as the safest commercial transaction system available.Put it simple,they won't release the money to the supplier if we haven't receive our good in a

satisfactory condition (arrived late, item not as specified,damaged goods).One more thing is that for any cases related to goods were damaged during delivery,the cost for returning the goods back to the supplier will be beared by

the buyer? .Nonetheless,the website offers a wide range of goods,varies from as small as a toothbrush to an electric scooter.I hereby kindly requesting any feedback from fellow forumers as any tips and advices are highly appreciated.

New Desktop..budget 6k max...

Planning on getting a new rig by the end of this week....

1)Main purpose is for gaming(Skyrim,Diablo 3,Battlefield 3,Tropico 4,Starcraft 2),accessing WiFi,watching movies,and also for general tasks/assignments......multi purpose in short

2)Better if it is based on the new Ivy Bridge CPU

3)Could u fellas recommend me a good sound card as well?since i still got my old Edifier S330D,but then i used to plug it to a standard Dell Inspiron laptop,and they said i do need a good sound card and a motherboard compatible with digital input,right?

4)I am also thinking of getting the whole setup at Low Yat,cause i'm really noob in computer setup (the right port,cable management,bottleneck issue,etc..).I would be flattered if u guys could recommend me a shop that would gladly assist me in doing so...

Hello fellas.Seems like most of you guys here have been doing a lot postal couriers to all parts of Malaysia,i just wanna ask among these 3 courier services,which one is the best in terms of price and goods condition upon arrival..

1)POSLAJU- good coverage,reasonable fees,but once i had to deliver house grant to Sabah but the clerk said it would take a week...dafuq

2)NATIONWIDE-have been using them for delivering letters,so far so good.the employees are nice,and sure to arrive the next day....

3)AIRPAK-well this i've never heard of but then i've just realized there is a new branch opened here in my place...is it good??should i try for this particular courier? any of u could share ur experiences?

The reason i'm asking this is that i need to deliver a pc with the monitor (very fragile) to johor bahru..since i'm in perak.which company i should go for?thanks in advance....

Hello guys,i'm considering of setting up a gaming rig,with budget as stated.since dunno where to refer,they said lowyat forum is the place to go.after reading a lot of reviews,decided to cr8 a topic myself...
In my mind right now...

Intel i7 2600
ASUS P8Z68-V GEN 3
AMD Radeon HD 7970
SSD Corsair F120 FORCE3 120GB
1TB W.D. Black SATA 6.0

reasons i chose these parts:
CPU:not going to OC,just simply want a smooth flow in gaming

GPU:have been an ATI follower since forever,and the model just have been released this year,right?

Mobo:not going for OC,so think this 1 is enough,or is there a cheaper mobo?

SSD:faster loading time,especially for large games (Skyrim,BF3,and ready for Diablo 3)

HDD:decent storage space for games,musics,HD movies,etc...

i think that's all....i can't make up the other parts,since so many options,my brain got stucked at choosing...

Would u guys please complete my list as i seek the help of sifus and computer experts on this forum....

A Powerful Gaming Rig

Hello,i'm a newbie here.Looking at the pc i'm currently using rite now,urghhh.... So i have decided to get a new 1 especially 4 gaming since i'm tired at crashing during every single gaming session.As i have searched thoroughly for the parts that i thought would be suitable 4 current-released games,i wanna ask ur guyz opinion on specs that i have chosen:

Intel core i7-2600k 3.4ghz
ATI Radeon HD5970 512 bit
ASUS P8H67-M motherboard
KINGSTON DDR3 1600(HYPER-X) 6GBx2
SEAGATE 2TB HD
monitor-don't care much about,as long as i could see what i'm playing..
keyboard n mouse-wired or wireless....as long as it reponds..
speakers-the same...

But still,along the way i had asked a few friends n there were still a few things that i didn't quite understand...

1.I heard that u could put 2 graphic crads on 1 motherboard?WTH!!
2.Different games need different specs,then how do i build 1 desktop that could satisfy all?
3.There is this thing called Liquid Cooling System..Is it more efficient than the normal fan cooling system?Is it safe?how does it works?
4.Monitors nowadays could display High Definiton(HD) graphics,rite?then do i have to buy an extra acces. for that?
5.Some say that AMD processors are worth-buying than than Intel processors...but u have to use the motherboard specifically for AMD?

I'm expecting that with these specs i could play games like GTA IV:Liberty City Stories,Dragon Age II,COD:Modern Warfare and many more at maximum settings and without crashing...

So what do ya guyz think?I'm glad that if u could share a little opinion on this and it would be a great help to me if u could explain more on the new features available for desktops.As to cost,my budget is below RM5k... so please help me!!!
