Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone's got this? I'm planning to get a pair for Ventrilo Push-to-Talk (for my wife and I), so I wanted to know if this is available locally (in LY or DigiMall) before I order them online.

Some links of what I'm talking about:
http://www.pcsensor.com/index.php?_a=viewCat&catId=6
http://usb.brando.com/search.php?keyword=u...=Product+Search

Thanks!

Streamyx: bandwidth problem.

Broadband provider
ISP/package: Streamyx 1Mbps
Location: Bandar Utama, BU6
Have you called your ISP's helpline?: Yes, and I hate them even more now.

Personal equipment
Modem: 3Com OfficeConnect. Currently testing with Aztech 600something (sorry, can't remember, posting this from office)
Router: 3Com OfficeConnect. Currently none.
Firewall used: Windows Firewall.

Problem details
First occurence of problem: Saturday evening, 11/7/2009
Problem frequency: It started off being sporadic; problem would occur for maybe an hour or two before subsiding. Now it's just constant.
Problem description:

Hey everyone. Was wondering if anyone can help me out here. I've tried pretty much everything to solve this issue, but I'm at a dead end.

After an early dinner on Saturday, my wife and I came back to our PCs to find that we cannot connect to anything: any web browsing, SSH/VPN connections were crawling to all international and local hosts. Even when trying to connect to www.tm.net.my/lowyat.net, the page would load at maybe 1 or 2 header buttons and would hang at either status 'Waiting' or 'Transferring from'. I had torrents running 24/7 and noticed the d/l speeds at the time were at about 0-3KBps. Upload speeds were still fine. Of course, I did the usual troubleshooting: turn off torrents, power cycle the router, but nothing worked.

After about 1-2 hours it just started working again. Download speeds were back to normal and we were happy. But on Sunday it happened again a few times more, going up and down a few times. This continued up to Monday night. Everything was ok on Tuesday, so I thought that would be the end of it but we were totally crippled on Wednesday. Again, couldn't download or connect to anything, but torrent upload speeds were fine.

At this point, I called Streamyx Tech Support. Did the usual powercycling of router, removal of other computers from the network, DNS settings change, disabling of firewall, pinging of various places. Didn't work of course. They then sent me to their techie person, checked my SNR and attenuation and everything was fine. Also tried to school me on how torrents suck and direct downloads are better, lol. In the end they think it's a user side problem.

So fine, maybe my 3Com router is finally in its last few breaths. Thursday: went back to my mom's house to pick up the original TM Aztech modem + Linksys WRT54G and switched them with my router. No issues then, net was fine (this was in Section 16 PJ, btw). Brought back the modem to my place and tried it and lo and behold, I still can't do anything with the Internet. I was like screw it and shut everything off. When I go home today and if it still sucks, I'm going to have to get them to bring a technician over.

Before I do that, I was wondering if anyone has any clue or hints for my situation?

Sorry for the wall of text. Just thought I should be as descriptive as possible. Thanks.

PS: Not sure if it's related, but that weekend they did some digging/construction around the TM rectangular box thingie across the road from my house to construct some piping and base for a new smaller rectangular box thingie next to it. Mentioned it to tech support, but their mindset is if SNR and attenuation and pings are fine, then everything on their end is fine. Doesn't help me though. :S

Hello everyone,

I know that not all vendors have the monthly 0% flexi-payment options, so I'm just going to try and post here.

I'd like a quotation for the following components:

Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme for S1366
Core i7 920
Asus P6T
Corsair HX620
Any 3GB DDR3 1600 Triple-channel Kit
Any casing with plenty of airflow that can fit 2X GTX 280.

Based on the various pricelists and trade threads, I'm expecting to spend about 3.5K in total.

Will need 0% monthly repayment options from any major bank credit card.

Thanks for reading.

blogsentral external blog directory / forwarding

Hi there.

BlogSentral is really a wonderful project, bringing all us Malaysian bloggers together under a single roof (yes, I quoted the Q & A ).

But some of us, like myself, are already accustomed to having full hosting access and prefer to get our hands dirty in code and themes and plugins and all that.

So I'd like to suggest that perhaps BlogSentral can also act as a directory to external Malaysian blogs, like Technorati with the pinging and all that. BlogSentral can also require these sites to carry the BlogSentral blogroll to allow easy access to other BlogSentral-linked blogs.
