Pos Laju EMS Return Policy (NEED ADVICE)

Hello there,

Thanks for dropping in the thread.

I would like to share my current situation and also looking for resolution from experienced person. I feel quite messed up right now.

On 13 March 2015, I have shipped item I sold to a buyer in Brazil, it's a hobby stuff, a quite pricy doll, valued around 600 usd and sent using Pos laju International Service ( EMS) with fee RM647

To avoid tax, I wrote description of content is Doll / Gift and the value is blank (none write at all).

Upon first week of delivery date , I tracked at asiaxpress and it showed such this :

The buyer did contact me on 8 - 20 April to ask where about the parcel, and I just asked him to checked with his country post office / custom office.

I assume it's Brazil's customs hold the item and need buyer to come collect himself at custom office for item value declaration and paying its taxes.

However, he only came back to me 6 may 2015 and told me he did went to the post office, he said the parcel never enter their office or country at all
and I have to check with Malaysia's post office regarding this matter.

So, I explained to him, the track number report (shown above) said it's already in Brazil and he needs to reconfirm with the officials what's it the ACTUAL item status.

After a while, he didn't come back to me the status of this case, and today (6 July 2015) , he asked me to re-check again the parcel status since he don't even get anything
Therefore, I made a call to xpress and pos malaysia.

They said, the item has been returned on May 2015 due to rejected by Brazil's custom as there's no item value written on box / invoice. and the Brazil's custom NEVER informed her to come declare the none written
value of the parcel instead just return back to Malaysia.

I was like, WHAT? Why they never contact me or anything about this?!
The customer service said, the item has been returned to sender and named 'Haslina' , the info on signed document is not I/C but worker ID : 4842.
(P/S my address is office building at North Point , Mid valley). Nobody in my office named Haslina and I can't understand why there's mis-sending item when there's clearly return sender address on consignment note.

The pos malaysia CS said they will send me e-mail on delivery proof within 6 working days.

- End of story-

Meanwhile, I'm here feel heavy-heart I can't afford to return money to the buyer with delivery fault service. I'm figuring out EMS insurance return policy. Such ,

1. If the item was return to sender from any rejection by official office, what happen to the money I paid for the delivery?

2. EMS insurance policy is :

This case has been over 3-4 months, can I even claim my part? I feel oppressed from all these procedure when they not even informing customer
about the failure delivery.

Please let me know your opinion , suggestion and solution of this case.

I managed to contact by phone with Pos Laju KL (PPL KL) believe me, you have to called like at least 10 times until they pick the call = = , at first they checked the system and claimed the item has been collected, but I insisted them to check thoroughly since I wanted know which worker pass to who.
So, the staff asked me to hold awhile and went to check their warehouse.

Turned out, my item is there dusted for at least 2 months. It's their inside people and system fault for updating wrong information.
I feel want to throw my tantrum but I'm too tired to do those stuff and I just wanted my parcel back.

At first I requested them to deliver to my office but no one there take this case seriously and make the stuff delay. Asked me to send copy of consignment note to their e-mail which not working at all
I gave up and go to the Pos Laju KL, Jalan Tun Sambathan myself.

I acknowledge my shipping money is burnt. However, I'm just glad I get my stuff back.

Geez, on side note, Pos Laju / Pos Malaysia services sometimes turns horribly suck.
