Rooted Toshiba AS100 / Folio 100

Hi,

Am considering the Toshiba AS100. Heard that it has bad reviews and may not be a good choice. But the fact that it runs on Nvidia Tegra 2 means it should run Honeycomb just fine, maybe? So I'm hoping the lifespan of the unit would be a bit longer.

My planned primary usage for a tablet:
- reading
- use as personal information manager - diary, schedule, to-do list, etc.
- writing book (screen must be responsive enough to touch type)
- update blog on the go (again need to touch type)
- other not so important stuff like surfing, gaming.

I hope the bad reviews (and Toshiba pulling it out of Europe market) is only because of Toshiba's skin. So I'm wondering if any of you have rooted the unit? Is it still bad, performance-wise, even after rooting it (non-responsive/laggy)?
