Gap between wall and tiles

Hi,
My house (under construction still) has this gap between the wall and the tile/marble. This gap exists throughout the house where transition between walls and tiles/marble are (for e.g. kitchen, living area etc).
Anybody knows what is it for ? Or is it because my house is not yet finished, and they will cover later?
Thanks
