No handphone, cannot buy prepaid sim card, umobile

Today i walk in to 99speedmart, wanted to buy umobile prepaid starter sim card, i just want to test the signal coverage at few of my frequent visit place, as i wish to switch to umobile postpaid package. When I go the the cashier and express my intention to buy the sim card, he is asking me whether got bring mycard and handphone or not, i am curious why he need my handphone, then the cashier explained he need my handphone to activate the sim card. Without my handphone, i can't buy the sim card cause he cannot activate it. This is first time i heard must have handphone in order to buy a prepaid sim card, may be i am too outdated as long time didn't buy prepaid card. The last i bought prepaid sim card is 4-5 years ago, which at that time i just walk to the shop, choose the number, show my mycard, the cashier register for me and take the sim card.

Any u mobile prepaid user or seller can clarify this?

currently using maxis home wired internet 2mbps, rm98. thinking to upgrade line, but my area no TM fiber,streamyx or maxis fiber, the only option is upgrade existing 2mbps line, fee as below, not sure worth to go or not, need ktards expert advice.

upgrade to 4mbps - rm108/monthly
upgrate to 8mbps - rm128/monthly

this exclude fixed phone line fee, rm28/monthly

would like seek advice what step should i take if house owner keep delay paying me back the deposit. it's has been more than 4 months move out from the house.

i know should lodge a report to police, is it any police station will do or must be the police station near the rented house.
then what is the next action to take? such as lodge a complaint to any authority?

Would like to know from those forumer that renovate their house before.
Do you pass your house key to your contractor during the renovation?
Let's say you just receive key from developer, and renovation will take around 1 month, so will you pass the house key to contractor so they can continue their work without your present.

Hi,

I am going to receive my new house key, definetely need some renovation and decorate my house.
decoration area that currently in my mind is

1) kitchen
2) master bedrom/wardrobe/bath room
3) study/working room
4) fix the lighting
5) living hall

Should i get a interior designer, or a good renovation contractor is good enough to cater my above requirement?
