Anyone knows about Audio Image?

Hello there,

I have been out of touch with all things audiophile for nearly 2 years now.

Hope you don't mind me asking this question.

There used to be a hifi shop named Audio Image Sdn Bhd based near SS2. I think it was in the row of shoplots before they demolished it to build the new shopping mall (near the wedding boutiques).

Would anyone here know about or whether the said shop has relocated to somewhere else? The proprietor's name is Adrian.

I tried searching through the internet but with no results.

Hi guys,

My company, Rhythm & Hues is running the following apprenticeship programs for those of you who are interested in breaking into the CGI/ visual effects industry.

In a nutshell, its a paid training program where chosen participants are provide the opportunity to gain valuable production experience while working with talented and dedicated professionals. It is designed for digital artists who are suitable for entry level positions.

2 apprenticeship programs running now:

a) 3D Matchmove/ Camera Tracking Apprentice (tentatively starting May 2012)

b) Animation Apprenticeship (tentatively starting June 2012)

Rhythm & Hues Sdn Bhd is organising a training program for folks who are interested in gaining some basic exposure to CG/ VFX Lighting.

a. This is a 12 week program, Monday to Friday

b. Open to graduating students, professionals, freelancers. However they need to commit their time to the full duration of 12 weeks.

c. The course is sponsored by Rhythm & Hues and MDEC. No fee charges required.

d. Seats are limited. Only shortlisted participants will be invited.

e. Program tentatively starts on the 19th of March 2012.

Hey guys,

Can you recommend a newbie (to this industry) a forum for local based 3d/ 2d art job postings?
I'm interested in putting up some job postings but I would like to find an efficient platform to reach out to the local 3d artists here

So far I'm aware of forums like 'pergh forum' and the 'former IGDA Malaysian chapter forum' but I'm interested in looking for more.

Recommendations on stretching shoes?

I received a pair of suede desert boots as a gift. Unfortunately they are a wee bit too tight width wise and difficult to get into.

I would like to stretch them to be wider. Maybe by 1/2 size?

Length wise is ok though with just about enough room for my toes. They could be a teeny little bit longer.

I researched online and was told that professional cobblers have some kind of stretching machines to stretch the shoes with minimal damage. Anyone have experience with the above?

I'm also open to any other ideas. I am not willing to part with the shoes but I don't wanna kill my legs.

Its pretty pricey (from RM 75 to RM 135 per session depending on the coach qualification).

I'm interested in their pants, jackets, belts and shirts (polo, short sleeve, long sleeve).

Usually shop from Zara and sometimes G2000/ Springfield but would like a change .

Dental surgeon for wisdom tooth extraction

Hi there,

Would appreciate if anyone can recommend me a dental surgeon with a reasonable price.

My wisdom tooth is in a difficult position (horizontal impact to the neighbouring tooth) and is already decaying. The root of the wisdom tooth is also very close to the nerves in the jawbone . I'm having slight pain issues too.

1. Went to Sim and Hooi dental to get my X-Ray done. The dentist told me that the surgery was too complicated by him and had to do be done by his senior. But the charges is around RM 1500 per tooth

2. Went to another clinic in Bangsar Shopping Centre. Was advised that they do not have to expertise do perform the surgery. They also told me I would require an oral maxillofacial surgeon (they recommended me Dr. Wong of Jalan Medan Tuanku) and its not going to be cheap

Skin discolouration under eyes?

Hi guys,

I have a problem with some kind of skin discolouration under my eyes. If you see the attached image, there's a defined section under the eye that has an oily/ sheen look to it. I'm not sure if I have dark circles or not. I have googled images of people with dark rings under their eyes and they look somewhat different.

My sister also has the same condition although not as fugly as mine

I tried using those eye brightening stuff (Kiehl and Garnier) but it doesn't work.

I get enought of sleep everyday (7 hours worth) so that shouldn't be the problem. my diet is reasonably healthy and I only take CQ10, Lecithin, Vitamin B and Bilberry for supplements.

Any advice? I wanted to see if I can get any solutions here before consulting a doctor.

Hi guys,

Can you please recommend me a 7.1 HT setup (and recoemmend a dealer too if possible) for my company's screening room.

The main purpose for the sound system is to do the following;

1) Presentation/ Video Conference
2) Occasional movie watching
3) PS3 gaming

I already have the media player (desktop pc and PS3), projector and screen. Please recommend the speakers and AV receiver only

Budget should be around RM 7K (give or take).

Room size is around 850 sqft.

Any help appreciated

ps.My office's other branch in India is using Onkyo TXSR-706 and Pure Acoustic Supernova speaker set. I'm looking for a setup that should be equivalent to that

Greeting people,

I'm planning to source for antiques/ antique looking items - reproductions/ miscellaneous Malaysian curiosities in Malaysia.

I am thinking of decorating an office with very rustic looking items hence my search from the above. It can be either adornments (e.g. mask on walls) or part of the office design (old partition, door frame, etc.)

I have visited some antique shops around KL but I am also on the lookout for more affordable options (other then DIY).

Does anyone know any wholesale places that sells antiques or rustic looking items. I am open to any place in Malaysia including Sabah and Sarawak.

If you could also point out to me any local interior design forums, that would be greatly appreciated too

Looking for printshop in Cyberjaya

Hi,

Can anyone recommend me a reliable print shop around Cyberjaya? I'm open to any place in Puchong area (near as Cyberjaya as possible)

I need to print around 100 pieces of both business cards and letterheads. I have absolutely no idea what the typical cost are but my estimated budget is around RM 100. The design is already available

My boss did try asking the shop at Streetmall but their response were rather lacklustre. We won't be going back there.

I need to get an answer by tomorrow afternoon if possible
