How to get formula milk samples?

Don't feel like buying entire tins of formula milk in case they don't agree with my baby then the milk will be all wasted. Also, will be trying my best to breast feed so might not need so much formula milk either. Any idea where to obtain free samples of various milk brand? So far hospital/shopping mall only gave me maternal/lactation milk samples for mothers, have not encountered anywhere giving out baby formula milk samples.

Any free image editing software to recommend?

Currently my office pc only has Microsoft paint, and don't think my boss is going to buy Adobe just for some simple image editing. So far all the software I have downloaded are trial version. and of course in office we can't use any pirated software.

Is there any recommended free image editing software? Just need it to be able to do basic stuff like cropping, adjusting brightness level and saving pics with transparent backgrounds (gif file).

There was a dalmatian sitting in front my gate for a few hours today, and tying to get into my house....he went away after my mum fed him, but is still hanging around my road. Seems friendly but looks sick, not sure if he lost his way or someone abandoned him? Location is Anggerik, Cheras.

~Fancy mice thread~

Hello there, anyone got fancy mice as pets? Well I know most people would keep mice as feeders for their other pets or as specimens for their bio animal dissection activity, but I'm sure there must be some of you that keep them for pets as well.

Why keep mice?
They are entertaining to watch, are easy to care for and make very few demands on their owners. They are very cheap to buy and maintain. You can keep them flexibly too, in either cages or tanks. They dont need a big space because they are small. If you want 1, get a male, if you want many, get females, you can keep many females together. I think they are good beginner pets for kids too.

Anyway here are mine, 2 females :

Mine are a black and argente banded/broked marked mice. They are very curious and always run out of the cage when I open the cage door. When I come near to the cage they will run down the ramp and start climbing around, begging me for treats and to let them out.

Theres many varieties of fancy mice, even rex, satin and angora mice, but those I think are not available in Malaysia as yet.

You can check out the long list of colors and breeds of mice at this site:
http://www.miceandrats.com/standmic.htm

Here is my cage

They enjoy running on a wheel very much, I got them one for the dwarf hamsters, not the one in this pic. I feed them with bird seed, oats, the smaller grains and seeds in hamster food and vege. Ocasionally I give them bread, kibbles and cheese too, which they love.

Some videos of my mice

Joke for pet owners

Rules for Non-Pet Owners Who Visit and Complain About Our Pets

1. They live here. You don't.

2. If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. (That's why they call it "fur"niture.)

3. I like my pets a lot better than I like most people.

4. To you, it's an animal. To me, he/she is an adopted son/daughterwho is short, hairy and walks on all fours. Although they don't speak clearly, they communicate extremely well, especially cats.

5. Dogs and cats are better than kids ...they eat less, don't ask for money all the time, are easier to train, usually come when called(this does not apply to cats), never drive your car, don't hang out with drug-using friends, don't smoke or drink, don't worry about having to buy the latest fashions, don't wear your clothes, and don't need a gazillion dollars for college. Also, if they get pregnant, you can sell the children!!!

How much do you spend on your pets?

After having a lot of my friends, family etc comment about me spending a lot on my pets. I have 17 small animals at home now, although they are small, but somehow there are a lot of things I can buy for them, haha.... I think I usually spend around RM100 a month for their stuff, sometimes RM200. How bout you guys?

Jerboas anyone?

In recent years I saw that pet shops sell Jerboas, however I was not really able to resaerch much information on the internet about them as pets. Are they seldom kept as pets? This is my encounter with one at the Klang petting zoo.

In my opinion they are a bit funny looking because of the big eyes and head and long legs. Anyone has one of these as a pet? Please share your experience if you do I'm curious to know more about this creature.
